We've got money and I assume a lot of it, they'd have to subsidise his contract and we're desperate for some attacking spark. Even if not at top form he makes us a more dangerous team imo.

I'm more than happy with Brown atm. Partner him with a strong halfback with a mean kicking game and we don't need a Barba imo

If we didn't have Holmes i'd be all for barba but we need to spend money in positions that need upgrading not just because a player is suddenly on the market. We bought lewis on big money when we desperately needed outside backs or a halfback and look how that's worked out. We need a centre, halfback and another prop imo

Yeah, I'm willing to be a little on the easy-to-please side, and say "screw it" to any more forwards at all, and concentrate all my desire on hoping that we get a decent halfback, with a centre being the cherry on top.

Prior's recent form excites
Me enough to think that we don't need to throw massive $$ McGuire like money to a prop. just wish there was a great 7 out there that we could throw carneys money at to get em here, for next season

Just a thought, but IF Carney was to sort his **** out, would anyone else be interested in him returning. I am aware of him working with the Wellbeing division of One Solutions in order to get his life in order through completing a personal training degree. If he can prove to the NRL that he has rehabilitated himself and can also come to the realisation he needs to give up the drink and his ******** mates, I would be willing to give him another chance.

no let him go i reckon.. carney is a train wreck - just a matter of time before he comes off the rails. the sharks are never going to shake their bad PR if they keep going back to these sort of players.. spend the money on our juniors and build a culture - stop trying to buy one!

Agreed snow, time to move on and sign according to what the side needs.

That is a dominate half that can organise the forwards with a strong kicking game with enough flair to hold his own as an attacker, that will allow Nu to play his natural game and takes over the running and x factor crap. This will also allow Nu to slowly chip in with his kicks as well and work him into the game.

Reynolds or Hunt would be ****ing killer. We would automatically turn into an attacking squad.

If he hasn't by now. He probably won't. Move on I say.

Time to look forward, not back. Carney is the past regardless of him getting his **** together or not.

Personally I hope he gets his **** together and plays nrl again, just not with us. We need a halfback more
