Looks like they are trying real hard with interest shown in Hunt & Munster
Both Hunt and Munster are for 24 though... gives them an extra year to sort themselves out.

Love to see the big dollar guys they're trying to get rid of (like Thompson) say we're happy to play in reserve grade so we can get paid. That and the cap doesn't go up by as much as they expect.

Id love Dogs to chip in part of Thommos wage and bring him into the BW&B

They'd want to be chipping in quite a bit
200k+ to move him you'd think.
250k chip in gets him to 500k which I'd think is moving into good value territory. Question is does a side that wants a prop have 400-500k spare for one for next year right now?
Also this late in season potentially waiting to see what the market has to offer post Nov 1
Lodge, McLean, Ese Ese, Tamou, Taupau, Fifita, Eisenhuth all available still for next year.
And if they'd rather grab Fifita & Taupau for a year they can make a 2024 play for someone like NAS, Flegler, Guler, Kamikamica, JKing, Klemmer, Leniu, Neame, Ofahengaue, JWH, Woods, Baker, EButcher, DFifita ...or Thompson

I don't think we desperately need a prop like some on here do but I'd be keen if that prop is a game changer and will make a difference.

Thompson would make that difference imo. Be a good pick up.

I can only think that Fitz has had plenty of time to see if Pele could make it at the Sharks. If he wanted Pele - he would have signed with us.
Dogs offered Pele a good deal. Sharks wouldn't match. They are keen to what's left on a centre is my mail

McLean would be a good get. Cowboys have offered a 1 year deal. If we offered 2 that would likely get him here you’d think.

he's kinda average

Doesn't have the x-factor impact of a Fifs or the consistency, work rate and motor of a Tolman
2 forwards who are making good contributions for us this year

However his defense seems good (97% tackle efficiency) which goes some way for covering no Tolman and his carries would bring more impact than Tolmans though Mclean isn't much of an offloader or tackle breaker though Tolmans runs are more of a settler to get to the next play with any PCM a bonus. Bit more go forward purpose with McLean in that regard.

PCM similar to Tolz but quicker runner than Tolz for his size haha

His minutes have varied from 30 - 50 odd minutes a game which is kinda what Tolman has roughly been getting this season but Tolman can play longer if required

Not saying we have to like for like replace Fifs and Tolz and frankly I would rather McLean over some other off contract forwards but I think being in that Storm system flattered McLean somewhat. Having said that, statistically speaking his best season was playing for the Cowboys back in 2019 which wasn't a good year for the Cows

Decent pickup if the $ value is right

I think we forget how good Williams was last year and once fit I'd be surprised if he's not in our full 17 at some point.

That's why I dont think we need a prop necessarily.

I had previously been thinking that we were desperately short an impact prop, but Hunt has lifted his intensity of late and BHU is getting better each week after his return from injury.

We seem pretty sorted in that area now but it would be nice to bring in a couple of big pups to start smashing things up in the younger comps.

Maybe we already have a few of those, (apart from Pele).

After this year, definitely need to find Hunt a position next season.
