Dragons reportedly offering Ben Hunt a couple of extra years at $700k per year (for 2024 and 2025).

Surely you trump that by 300k if you're the Dolphins. Go all out for a Hunt/Munster halves pairing, or Munster at fullback.
I'd absolutely give that a red hot crack if I was Dolphins. Makes a big difference to their side.
Either 6 Milford 7 Hunt 9 JMK or 6 Milford 7 SOS 9 Hunt are much stronger spines.
Still need a FB better than Isaako though, but he becomes more passable the stronger the rest of the spine gets.

Tigers finding out how good Hastings is and how limited Madden is ..
Crazily they don't seem that interested in keeping Hastings and even Doueihi they should be wrapping up early and haven't yet.

Or maybe some holes are plugged now with the new incoming coaches involved instead of some old people.

They should cover half Brooks wage to get him to **** off somewhere and retain Hastings at 7 and Doueihi at 6.
Brooks would be better for a change of scenery too.
I'd say go to Knights but a spine of 1 Ponga 6 Clifford/Clune 7 Brooks 9 Brown 13 JoeO 14 Mann isn't exacty exciting me if I am a Newcastle fan either.

Is Garrick even that good at Fullback?

He's great on the wing. I can't see him playing Fullback, though.

He had been solid, not great though. Hard to look good when Turbo is the first choice.

Random question, what's the Knights junior system like?

He's played fullback basically every week! You're obviously not watching many Manly games.

He's a good winger who can play fullback as your backup. He's not really a good started fullback, although with a permanent position in a decent side I think he could get decent at it. More of an Edwards type I think.
Not so good there right now you move Ponga into the front line for him.

Gamble has requested a release from his contract for next year. Couple of clubs after him.

Knights, Dogs, warriors and manly are interested.

Knights Jnrs system is Very good and wide ranging down to Central coast and up past Taree, some very strong comps. Have won the best non metropolitan NSW Jnr Rep games Nth V Sth many times.

Garrick has been pretty good at fullback. Definitely worth chasing if you need one.

But some suggestion the overall system not running well. These good juniors from such a big area don't seem to flow through into Knights team well apparently

Dont you wish this bloke was still around?

Former NRL star Josh Dugan is waiting to learn whether he’ll be suspended for his part in a bush footy fight.
The NSWRL was on Tuesday waiting to see what charges could result from the fiery clash last weekend when Dugan was involved in a dust-up.

The controversial former Test player was playing for the Orange United Warriors against the Trundle Boomers when some push and shove at the end of the match saw Dugan and his opponent both marched.

The Trundle player took exception to Dugan running the ball dead on the final play and the two players took a swing at each other.

The referee reacted by sending both from the field.

Dugan’s Warriors won the game 26-16 to stay alive in the finals.
