Ok at risk of being carted for using the word " Proper Centre/ Conventional Centre ", is Connor Tracey the right back up centre for the Team to go all the way in the Cmg 2 seasons?

How many sides you think would like CT as a back up? Whatever number you come up with add 1 for the extra team next yr.

Fact is several teams starting side isn't up to scratch and quality depth is lacking across most teams. That will only get worse next year. In the next couple years I think depth will decide the winners and losers more than ever.

100%. I don't think anyone is saying he would be the first choice 1,2,3,4,5 or necessarily the 2nd or 3rd choice 6,7,9 but gee it's handy someone that could fill into any of those positions during a game as a reserve.

Ok agree, but what about a back up "specialist " Centre is where i was going with the cheap Scott/Zerri type example. Throw in a "Specialist" back up Centre for the immediate future. Could Fitzy get a James Roberts type, back to 3/4 peak form. Edit: Actually the Centre/FB/Wing Best Back up example is Gerard Beale that's what i mean. Like for Like in 2023/2024.

No, Tracey is ok as backup wing though that’s about it.

I’m sure Fitz is looking at other options as centre depth

Apparently Mitchell and Walker are holding out negotiations with south’s to see what Bennett will offer them at the dolphins.

Souths are kind of a mess, I don't really think this Demetriou is up to it. Imagine having the Cook/Murray combo and being mid ranked on the ladder.

The players your mentioning are all toxic mate. Talakai and Ramien are doing a fine job, with Ikavalu and Tracey filling in when required plus hopefully some youth still to come through in coming years it’s low on the priority list I feel.

Our depth all over the park is excellent

With the knights, they are close to signing Bevan French and are also going after Garrick from Manly. Fullbacks galore at that joint 😂

Add Iro to that also for next year. Miller can play centre too.

Flanno would be eyeing off that job for a classic fullback-off. I wonder if Ponga can shoulder some general play kicking?

Mate.. Scott, Xerri & Roberts? I'll take CT over them all.

Even if we focus only on what they do on the field Roberts is done IMO. Even if he's not he's a ****en handful - Fitz can sleep easy knowing he won't get a 4am call about Tracey on the sauce.

He used to kick in general play a lot more, he definitely can. If they could steal a Tigers half (not Brooks) they would look ok.
