I'll cop a flogging for this .
But I reckon Nikora in the forwards and Tracey in the backs are massively overated .
Surely there are better options

You’re not far off egg. I reckon Nikora COULD be a better player but so Far no one seems to have fully unlocked his skill set.

Cant fault Connor’s heart and his committed. Some say he’s quick but I don’t think I’ve ever seen him in the clear.

You just feel of the chances Nikora had tonight that Tieg or Talakai would have made a lot more of them

I hope you're sitting down when you get this surprise.

I think Nikora is underrated on this forum.

Smacks f*ckers in defence.

If he's running bad lines talk to the coach. He's just doing what he practices at training. If his line is covered by the defence then the ball distributor should be choosing another option and using him as a decoy.

My main criticisms of him in the past were when he didn't seem to be giving his best. He's not a player that can cruise and put in satisfactory performances. He needs to be in animal mode and I reckon he's been in animal mode most of this season.

In sticking up for him I'm not saying that we break the bank to keep him though. Reasonable offer only.

Another thing with his lines: it’s sometimes the ones where he doesn’t get the ball that make a big difference.

I’ve been more critical of Nikora than anyone else (mainly for poor reads or lazy defensive plays) but in general he is improving in those area. Not defending next to SJ helps.

Watching live last night I thought he was really good (I missed the first few minutes of the game though).

Bit of deep heat on his bum hole before he runs out should get him angry and ready to level someone.

Left field but I think Nikora would make a great Lock or even Prop
His leg speed and solid contact in defence would really help our middles out.
Running straight and hard around the ruck could be what we need.
Similar to McInnes but with a bit more size.
Would offer more to our middle than a bunch of plodders we currently run.

Eels looking to sign Matt Lodge for the remainder of the season.

Knights going after Hastings - word is he isn’t happy at the tigers now after they sacked madge. We should be all just this IMO. Hastings and Hynes would be a brilliant combo.

I thought Briton had a good game by his standards, there were a few times he was on the verge of pulling through defenders on his runs.
They seemed pretty switched on that he might be a threat on the inside, and he made himself one even if he didn't get the results... that kind of thing helps keep space for your winger...

If he could find about 10kg of muscle without losing anything except maybe a touch laterally then I could see him transitioning into a decent bench middle who can cover edge.
I'm picturing a shorter version of current Matterson.

We don't have the edges on the books or coming through to worry about that idea or not though. If he stays we need him on the edge.

I do think another 2-4kg of muscle wouldn't hurt, makes him a bit tougher to handle on his lines and hopefully helps him close down a few more tackles.

Don't love being 1-2-3 in ineffective tackles in the NRL... Blayke, Briton, Teig

I think if Tigers can quickly make it clear Noddy will stay on as coach he'll be happy with that.
Brings some stability and I think he'd like Noddy.

Hastings may be way off their board but he didn't want to fly to Gold Coast to support the team because he loves the board and admin staff.
I don't think he'll leave, tragedy for them if he does. Would he seriously go somewhere else **** that the coach is already on the chair in a noose though?

Are there a lot of edge forwards on that list?? Or is it just the way our defensive line works??
Feel comfortable with both of them defending on the edge and never really concerned with their defence.

Is Blayke a Blayke thing or a hooker thing do you think? The eye test hasn't given me cause for concern so far
