TBF Elliott has been pretty clean since his snog with Licha’s missus

The bathroom bar snog with his NOW own missus doesn’t count IMHO
yeah I don't even have a problem with the swinging his cock around at a private mad Monday. Not sure if he has done any thing else?

Even that was a bit of a witch hunt. Private party
Bravo on balanced recruiting. An on the field problem and an off the field problem.
I think Hetherington has been unfairly targeted by refs. Last year he got put on report for a “high tackle that missed the player”. I.e. an air swing.

Seems there was 3 interpretations for a while there: normal rules, magic round, and “Hetherington is tackling”.

I agree. I don't see the refs changing though. Poor guys ****ed I think.

While Elliot hasn’t done a lot of criminal stuff something like ****ing your best mates missus at their engagement party would make seriously think twice before signing him if I was a club.

Seems like potential problem to bring into your culture and also risk even the smallest thing he does wrong now brings bad press.

Like Vaughan in the scheme of things hasn’t done anything dire from a criminal perspective but they seem problematic to have around, enough you wouldn’t want to be paying their full (on field) value for

I think he could be exactly what we need
If he was disciplined here , we'd be in a GREAT position

I remember when we signed the great Reni Maitua. A troubled player who instantly made us look 20% better when he ran on the field.

Then he's busted for Clenbuterol.

F*ck he was a good player though.

Geez mate, I thought Reni was pretty uninspiring in his short tenure with us, I was sort of hoping he’d end up as a good replacement for Bird but it never happened imo.

Only played 8 games for us before he was banned, so not much time to gel. I thought we looked a classier team with him on the field.

Even if Reni hadn't been banned, replacing Greg Bird is almost impossible. What a player he was.

Agree, that season, towards the end, when he stuffed up, Seymour getting injured, Storm & Sea Eagles were probably the better teams but even taking my Sharks goggles off we were a strong chance of winning the comp that year.

I don't think we would have won it but we certainly wouldn't have been pumped in the prelim. That and the 99 prelim are my most depressing live games.
