TPJ in the first year of a 3 year deal... going to cost the Dogs some dollars to offload him.

Dufty and Vaughan don't have contracts for next year, so they are pretty much gone anyway.

Guy with contracts like TPJ are the ones where they can fix their cap up - wouldn't surprise if guys like Luke Thompson, Cory Allen are included.

Luke Thompson is better than having 400k to spend how you want but losing 400k in cap space for him to play elsewhere.

Somewhere along a sliding scale is where it’s worth it to send him elsewhere.
That may or may not be around the same point on the scale as where it is worth it for a club to take.

If Dogs would rather keep him than pay any more than 100k for him to play elsewhere next season then not sure they’ll get many takers. The more they are willing to pay the more interest… probably also the more questions…

Would love Thompson at Sharks- absolute weapon of a player and can play 80mins with the engine in him
Watched him develop at St.Helens.
Has potential in the right team to be best front rower in the world and would happily throw Fifitas full 800k contract at him cause i rate him that highly.
