Is Luke Walsh eyeing an early NRL return?

St Helens have denied that star halfback Luke Walsh is set to make a sensational early return to the NRL at the end of this season, half-way through his two year-deal.
League Express understands the Australian scrum-half, who joined Saints at the end of 2013, is homesick, and is considering heading home at the end of the current Super League campaign.
Walsh, a veteran of 120 games in the NRL, has been in electric form since arriving in Super League and has helped Saints surge up the table. He has a two-year contract with St Helens, but with a get-out clause that he could use at the end of the season.
In a recent statement posted on the Saints website, Walsh said: “I’m happy. My family has settled in and everyone is happy. The little fella is happy too. I’m in good spirits. My wife is happy and we’re not going anywhere at all. We’re staying here.”
Despite those comments, however, Walsh, 27, could cut short his contract if, as expected, he attracts interest from NRL clubs.
