Griffin won’t take ****, we need that because Morris does take ****.
I have seen zero actual evidence of that
Not outrageous to make an assumption that some of the bad on-field attitude stems from issues with or disrespect to coach but I can't accept it as a sure thing without any evidence.

Yeah no evidence, but if we have the same issues again next year, we have to wonder if the coach has the respect of the players or not.

What issues are you referring to specifically ? because there were quite a few bumps in the road this year.

- Taking over as Head Coach with most of the pre season done.
- The massive injury toll to key players
- Blooding of 6 rookies, most by the club in a long time
- The need to shed 350k of cap space by June because Barry self reported

I think Griffin would be an awesome assistant. He was hard done by at Panthers & would bring a lot IMO.

I think he means more the on-field problems like stupid errors/penalties, at times non-existent defence and arrogant attitude going into perceived easy games.
All three of which I believe existed previously.

Couldn't agree more, still digesting the season, i don't know if its a 50/50 split or not but our squad is both mentally p*ss weak & our ego's are out of control.

As you alluded to Bort, we have turned up go way too many games the past few seasons where we obviously looked at the other team on paper & thought we were merely collecting the points by just turning up, too many players in our squad seem to have very high opinions of their ability, obviously other teams don't think nor are intimidated by us or 'our ability', in fact, i would even suggest other teams would think we are beatable for the very two things above, mentally weak & high opinion of ourselves.

All of this yes

I'll give him next to see if these things are sorted out

Two years, especially given fine and various players contract status, gives Bomber very little opportunity to mold the team by making significant changes.
In terms of roster he is still very much under Flannos thumb until 2022. We may see some moves in late 2020 and in 2021 but won't see how they work out.

He definitely has a range of issues he has inherited but it will be hard to definitively say if he is having a positive or negative impact even after two seasons unless results swing very wildly to the top or bottom of the ladder.

Well he will definitely see out his whole contract with us because we are not in the position to pay him out.

He might have inherited some issues but this is a results driven game, not many clubs will give you 4+ years to sort out what the previous coach did to the club.

If Brown does come one as assistant (all rumours prob), maybe it is a good thing considering he thinks of himself as a club fixer upperer. And we wont be paying him head coach wages, and isn't he a Sharks fan?
