Cows have just released Nene, wonder how that works with Top 30 contracts needing to be locked in last week? Presumably they just reasonably quickly need to upgrade someone.

Capewell to Titans (rumour) from TripleM. Also Manu Mau.

They also said Peachey to Panthers for 2020 and Canberra are chasing Cade Cust.

The Mole is linking Tepai Moeroa to us as a Gal replacement. Can’t see how this could the case considering Williams is already being groomed for the spot, plus we’ll have Woods and Hamlin-Uele on the bench filling the big man prop/lock spots. The only way I can see this happening is if Prior is being moved on.

Agreed. He has more experience than Williams, and Williams has been a bit inconsistent lately. Competition isn't a bad thing though, and Moeroa could also be a cheaper replacement for Capewell.

Moeroa is being chased by Union so he won’t exactly come cheap. Williams has shown enough that he’s worth backing for the spot next year. Not worth using our limited cap space IMO. I don’t think he’d be a replacement for Capewell as I’m pretty sure he isn’t an edge player, he’s a middle forward. I only see room for him if someone is being moved on, he won’t exactly come here to be ‘competition’ and potentially play reserves.

Won't be cheap as chips, but given Capewell's utility value and the fact he was called into origin camp I wouldn't be surprised if Moeroa came cheaper. Not saying I'd sign him but if we lose Gal and Capewell we could certainly use someone dependable. He used to play second row, too.
