feki could be going to the dogs now

we have also put a halt to aggressively chasing barba and are looking for a centre

This is absolutely the correct move across the board.

Let feki go, run with Lee and Katoa

Forget barba, will cost a ****load and we have the real deal now. Give Val the one and just say it’s yours till you retire. Offer him big bucks and a big contract and let him know he’s our fullback to put his mind at ease.

Use this barba money for a centre and run with

1. Val
2. Lee
3. Duges
4. *insert whoever
5. Katoa

I think Xerri will get a spot (maybe year after next). I would prob look at walker (yes he is a **** stick) Konrad Hurrell or maybe Nene Macdonald. (based off who i know is off contract for 2019.) and run with Xerri, Gray and our juniors being solid back up. Our main focus needs to be rebuilding our forward pack with Gallen and Lewis most likely retiring. I personally would be looking more for props and shifting prior to lock.

The dream would be

Tapau
Brailey
Fifita
Graham
Bukuya
Prior

Bench:
Seggy
Woods
Paulo/Ava
1 of Capewell/williams/Sorenson

Recruiting both woods and taupau would be silly IMO. We'd be spending to much money on middle forwards when it could be of better use else where. Its one or the other and preferably it's taupau

Yeah I agree with that. One of the few reasons I’m uming and ahhing about Flanno bringing Woods over.

I know I’ll get shot down for this & it will be unpopular & hope my post doesn’t get taken out of context but is Katoa that damn good?

If he ends up half as good as the hype we’ll have a hell of a player on our hands, look, I’m not bagging him, I understand he’s a young guy with only a handful of games in FG under his belt so I’ll give him some slack & time but I hardly think it should be a given he’s a definite wing spot for us in 2019 or st this stage or based off what he has shown thus far.

I like anyone of you guys want him to be a gun but geez, let’s see what he can do before making him a lock for one of our wing spots.

I hear what you guys are saying about having a lot of money tied up in middle forwards. I just think having a really strong middle which creates opportunities for the offload is how you get the most out of moylan. He needs space and that's how you give it to him.

You also need go consider we are probably short one middle forward on our roster this year. Then need one go replace Gallen

Bundy ... the forum always has a hard on for young players. The grass is always greener...

on Katoa ... you are correct. He was a beast in the 20’s and Flano rated him but he hasn’t impressed at all for the Sharks or the Jets. He is ok - but just ok.

As for penciling him in... an “ok” player who is signed on peanuts is a very valuable asset in your line up. If we save $100k on him over Feki with similar 6/10 performances it is worth it.
