Mate if you haven't read it anywhere, I don't believe it. 

I've been reading everyone's 2 cents worth about our number 6 and his contract situation.

Now I haven't read many articles etc about this because I prefer to read stories about the actual game rather than gossip.

So I just want to ask the following questions.

1. Do we actually know what $ JM signed on for?
2. Do we actually know what $ JM now wants?
3. Has there been a direct quote from JM to say he's unhappy at the club?
4. Has there been a direct quote from Shane Flanagan or anyone at the club that they are unhappy with JM?
5. Has there been a direct quote from any other club's rep to say they want to sign JM?
6. Has there been a direct quote from JM himself to say he wants more money?

If the answers to all these questions are no, then it just may be a story whipped up by the media to sell papers or his agent to bump his price up. So it may not be Maloney himself that is spreading this talk.

Now people can say where there's smoke, there's fire and all these stories have to point to JM being unhappy but I haven't seen the proof as yet.

Now, before you all launch into me, I'm not saying the stories aren't true. Because I'm not as widely read on this subject I may have missed some solid evidence

All I'm saying is that I think the whole saga has been blown up worse than what it really is.

in his personal life I agree...maybe he has changed but knew him quite well when he was playing for the Wentworthville before he went to storm...many years ago though.

No of course not, but my point is if we don't make him happy he's no use to us. I'm not saying he's right, or in the right, but if he reckons he's being ripped off then we either
A. Change his thinking. Good luck with that.
B. Pay him more.
C. Or trade him.

The worst option is keeping him here and doing none of the above.

I agree mate, but if we aren't going to upgrade him then we should trade him. Otherwise we're paying 600k for a starting half with a chip on his shoulder. No point in that.

Even if the team were inclined to pay him more, Maloney's form this season doesn't justify it.

whats to stop brailey asking for more than segeyaro?

if you cave to a player who wants more, then you set the tone to do it to everyone
