Jeff Robson has been dropped, with Tuimoala Lolohea to play five-eighth

tui is very flashy like johnson though, wonder how they'll work together.

not that i particularly care either way.

I am ok with Paolo coming off the bench. He is not a hard running forward though, So i don't expect huge meters and tackles from him. I expect creative offloads and good short passes.

when everyone in the forwards is fully fit our Bench should be something like.

D Fifita/Prior/Heigno (2 of them)
Bukuya
Paolo

Paulo is pretty solid in defence and kept the line pretty tight when he was next to gal i think. he does have a bit of x factor about him and has pretty solid passing game and handling skills. i love boogs and prior is just getting better i think. i hope we dont re-sign heino, despite him being a legend off the field.

I have loved Heignos work for us. But this should be his last year. He is old enough and well past his prime now (even though his form is still pretty good).

this will be his and lewys last year

Out of Lewis, Gallen and Heigno, Lewis is the only one I would sign up for one more year on a reduced contract. (I am ok with Gallen going for one more year, with a few conditions) I owuld only take one of Lewis and Gallen though and sign someone like Tohu harris, Ethan Lowe or one/both of the Sims boys.

I wouldn't. I love the bloke but he looks more and more busted every week. He's on a steep decline imo.

his one on one defense is getting progressively worse since last year as well

I'd keep gal depending on how he's traveling post origin. Won't cost us much in the cap since 300k won't be included

Totally agree Lewis is starting to look like an old boxer( punch drunk), definately not reading things like he used to. Gal for another year would be good financially and if we buy a young prop he can help there as well

Isn't wade now also eligible for the long service discount, if so by putting it towards wade we could free up that money in the cap. Regardless id still be happy for gal to get another year if hes fit enough.

yeah so is ricky. But both are contracted for next year so not sure how it works there. The club is probably using it all for gal at the moment and I'd say wade will get it all in his next contract

Im sure the fact that they have already signed wouldnt matter, should be up to the club to just allocate it to whoever is eligible.

I wonder if there are any clubs that arent able to use it due to not having a long serving player.

Who on Penrith would qualify? Maybe McKendry?

Every other team has at least 1 player that's been there long enough.

There should be a 5 year tier and a 10 year tier IMO.

5 year gets you a decent discount but 10 gets you a huge one.
