You reckon our juniors are that fuc&ing useless that Fergo and Peachey are the only ones worth a crumpet over the last 10 years?? That is the problem. The club (with Stuart/Flanno supercoach) has never treasured the nursery we have and never given then a go. The boys in the 16's and 18's wont EVER get a chance here with dic&heads running the club. What does it mean then to have National Champs at those ages then????

Tigers keep promoting all their promising juniors. When was the last time they made the semis.

Not sulking, just think you are convinced of your own importance and others here seem to buy that. The whole joint needs to be shaken up including opiniated fans who have got it wrong over the past X years. time for a change if we seek success.

Mate im all for promoting a junior, but being a good 20s player means **** all when it comes to firsts. Theres only a select few guys in the nrl who bust out of 20s into firsts and stay there.

Our decision to merg with the jets was a dud and the nrls refusal to have a 16 side reserve grade comp is also a dud.

I think this is where we disagree. I reckon there are some good 20's players who can't hack first grade, but if you are good enough to be a good 20's player AND you get the chance and support to go on with it, you will be a good first grader. You don't lose it overnight. Bellyache has taken average players and made them really good. Robbie Kearns was pretty ordinary at the Sharks but unstoppable at the Storm. Proctor and Blair were fantastic under Bellyache . We have got Supercoach?? who couldn't train a choko vine over a dunny? He is a fric7en cancer who has to go and take some dinosaurs with him.

I'm no huge fan of Flanno Paul C, but apart from the 2014 debacle he's taken us to the finals more often than not. You have to face the reality that he will serve out his current contract here and possibly get extended. The players seem to want to play well for him and whether it is him or Mooney or Lyall attracting players to the club, he is getting some good players on board.

Yes his attacking nous isn't great but when all we've had at 7 for the past few years was Robbo, there wasn't much else he could do. Now that Bird and Holmes have a season under their belts and Maloney is on board it will be a true test of Flanno's ability as a coach and his attacking prowess.

Yes, he seems to be more cautious than other coaches, more conservative and less likely to give the young guys a go, but they have to step up to the mark and earn a spot. They aren't just entitled to it because they're a local junior.

If we get through this season with no injuries and playing to our true potential with Val, Bird and Barba all firing, then we should easily make the top 4, we could finish as minor premiers even.

So mate, sit back, try and enjoy the season and get used to the fact that Flanno and Gal will be at the helm. It won't be smooth sailing, no season ever is, but I reckon we'll see some good footy this year.

Well said , we need to utilize nay and every asset we have . I rember when Artie Beetson took over our coaching when we were broke again no money and no hope.

He utilised our Juniors we lost most of the first half of the comp but had a great second half and developed a great club culture and players . We also need the balance of bringing in some top liners and some promising talent.

I don't believe Flanno has the capability of doing that or Bringing us a Winners trophy. We also need our front office to be more professional than it has been Lyall G appears to be a great step in the right direction .

The Jury is still out regarding our Board.... In order to be a winner we have to get all these areas working at a top level in order to win.

Penrith have the biggest NSW nursery and had 5 juniors in their top 35 on their website last year.

You dont have to be a junior to be a good footy player. For example, im picking James Maloney over every shire product 100 times out of 100.

Where you are born isnt important, its what you can do on the field.

yep that worked out so well for him didn't it. We finished 13th and 10th under him out of 16 teams but hey at least the locals were given a go. Boy how great is it to have locals with passion in the side.

I don't get the wank fest about having locals in the club, sure it would be nice but do you think majority of the fans really care who the hell is in the side? They just want a team that can win

If my grandfathers great grandfather didn't steal a loaf of bread, I'd follow the English super league is my guess.
