Plenty of NRL players from various clubs are living in the shire now.

Should improve the local league bloodstock a bit.

Most of them seem to marry models though so we could end up with players that have short necks, flat noses, long legs and flowing blonde hair.

Here's an example of us going after young talent and actually securing their signature.

I guess Chad will be in the top 25 the rest are gone and its terribly fric%en sad that the others are the best we can throw up over the last dozen years. We have a good nursery AND Endeavour Sports High and no intelligent life at the football club to try and develop our own talent and at least get some spirit in the joint. We have a bunch of average mercenaries serving time and drawing a wage. The joint is fuc%ed.

To be honest I don't really care where they were born and what junior club they played for, I just want the best players we can get our hands on, if they are a local junior then that's good but I'm not going to lose any sleep over it if we have zero local juniors playing for us
Thats how the side will wind up being moved to woop woop ? How do you like the woop woop sharks playing at woop woop stadium?

**** mate grow up.

This sport operates around a salary cap, and so much hinges on results. A 20 year old half is probably going to leave when youve signed one of the best 5/8s in the comp long term.

You think the cowboys werent kicking themselves once they saw holmes in flight? But guess what they won the comp.

The simple fact is you wont win a comp with a team full of local juniors. Getting the right guys into the 20s squad is key, and go from there.

Remember more guys graduate 20s by age each year than players who retire from 1sts. The reserve grade comp is sub par.

I'm intrigued to find out your reasoning why you believe we will be 'moved' on because of this
If the club has has no connection to the locals it could be based anywhere. Its just now that most fans live in the Shire. I used to live there and follow them due to that but if it has no locals why can't the club play at the Sunny Coast for example. I would get to watch them more then.

Actually having a healthy junior system that disperses players all over the place is a reason why a club needs to stay.

A. Not every junior is going to be a first grader
B. Not every junior will stay at his junior club for various reasons. Having experienced players ahead of you means u might not get a call up. So when the tigers call up with an empty space you will take it
C. You say we have noone getting these juniors to any standard yet our 16s and 18s are the national champs.

So we should wing First Grade sometime before I die if we have half competent administrators and coaching staff??we have had good juniors since I played down there and we have achieved ZERO in the grown up game. The club is mired in mediocrity in management and coaching.

Insults? Your sulking about the club who just took its juniors to 2 national titles.

Would you be satisfied with having lots of juniors but get the spoon? Cos remember 2014 and the promotion of guys who werent ready??

And of all the juniors we've lost who are currently playing do we regret losing? Maybe peachey for his talent, fergo but who knows what **** up awaits him?

Not sulking, just think you are convinced of your own importance and others here seem to buy that. The whole joint needs to be shaken up including opiniated fans who have got it wrong over the past X years. time for a change if we seek success.

You reckon our juniors are that fuc&ing useless that Fergo and Peachey are the only ones worth a crumpet over the last 10 years?? That is the problem. The club (with Stuart/Flanno supercoach) has never treasured the nursery we have and never given then a go. The boys in the 16's and 18's wont EVER get a chance here with dic&heads running the club. What does it mean then to have National Champs at those ages then????

As I said earlier, there's new DNA on the way.

We only have to cover the old gene pool with imports for the next decade or 2.
