Just re-sign both for another year. It's not like they'd be on big money.

Taga has played pretty well recently but I'm astounded by the sudden love for him.

I have been one of his biggest fans but I'm over him. Unless he is cheap I'm happy for him to leave the nest, it will be pretty easy to find someone more consistent.

Probably depends on how much cash he'd be on to go there. If an extra 200k per year I'm sure he could cope for two years. That's a lot of coin.

Always loved the bloke even before his crap form and after. This guy is a machine, like any other player just needs a little push.

Just needs it constantly. He has been one of my favourite players because of when he is on song but it just doesn't happen enough for mine.

Happy enough to keep him (provided the money is right) but he shouldn't be in our ideal top 17 for next season

I'd be happy with Taga on two years with the second in the clubs favour. Hopefully the one year stints keep him motivated.

The last month he has played the best since his first year with us, no reason he can't play like that consistantly.

Does anybody know what kind of performance targets can be put into contracts. I know players can get bonuses if they play rep games, but is it possible to have a clause that says something along the lines of 'if you average over one hundred metres per game you will get a bonus of $50K?

He has been playing since 2007 and has never really had a long spell of good form from memory.

A consistent Taga would be great but I just don't see it happening long term.

It's a real shame with Taga because he could be quite the player if he could get consistency.

I'm not against him staying I just hope we have options to cover it if he doesn't work out.

Clubs eye Warriors comeback star

Rival clubs are circling Warriors try scoring ace Glen Fisiiahi now he is back playing again.

Wing speedster Fisiiahi missed the first half of the season through injury and is now unable to break into the classy Warriors backline.

But Fisiiahi is a noted try scorer and crowd pleaser, bagging a double in the Warriors’ 38-22 defeat of the Illawarra Cutters yesterday in the NSW Cup.

He appears destined to leave the Warriors next season and will have no shortage of offers from clubs looking for more strike power out wide.

Tagataese back in good books

A couple of months ago, the Sharks would have been at long odds to re-sign barnstorming forward Sam Tagataese.

The journeyman prop was at odds with the club and not on the same page as coach Shane Flanagan.

The Roosters were interested in Tagataese mid-season and he came within a whisker of signing with the club.

But Tagataese has improved his attitude and is playing good footy - and is set to be rewarded with a new contract with the Sharks.

Big and strong, Tagataese is a force when fully fit and has given the Sharks good value.

It will take more than a couple of good games to convince me that Taga has the fire back in the belly.

Fisiiahi? He's played 24 matches in like 5 seasons because he is always injured. Supposedly he had some bad nerve damage or something. No thanks, an English team in need of a finisher can grab him.
