Manly actually doesn't seem as bad off as I thought they would be. This season is gone, they've had way too many injuries. But looking forward they have 2 gun centres to replace Lyon and Matai (Hiku/Gutherson), they have Trbojevic as the replacement for BStewart, they have DCE as a long term 7. With some good recruitment on some undervalued forwards then they might be back pretty soon.

Like, all they've lost is GStewart/Watmough (Neither were playing all that well at Manly), Foran (Who has dodgy hammies), and some old props that were never anything special to begin with.

I can't wait for our cancer in the 7 jersey to leave just so I can become a member again but if we get hodkinson , I will not buy a membership for 2016. If flanno wants another useless 7 then he needs to **** off.
I get the feeling flanno has been told make the 8 or you're out, if so I hope we dont and I can't see us making it. We aren't good enough

If we sign the current Origin halfback I won't buy a membership SMH. I guess you will never be a member.

For the record I'm not a huge Hodkinson fan and I don't think he would be the answer to our problems but he is a huge upgrade and arguably the best option available.

When we talk about recruiting a half we also need to take into consideration the amount it's going to cost, the fact he is asking the most out of anyone, he is a average attacking footballer in my view and we will have Chad for the kicking puts hodko at the bottom of the list in my opinion
Having hodko partner Chad would be a massive waste of money as far as I'm concerned

Hodkinson would me a massive waste of money, he's been bloody terrible from what I've seen this year.

He has been very poor so far this year but at the end of the day there aren't many options to go with and he has to be considered due to the ability he has shown.

Maloney (hasn't been overly impressive this year)
Sandow (has been very hit and miss and always will be IMO)
Cornish (can't even get a run over Williams although Williams has been decent)
Hastings (is an unknown)
Hodkinson (has been very poor this year but has got runs on the board from previous seasons)

None of these options are great, Maloney would be my first choice though.

To say that you wouldn't get a membership because your club signed one of the best four options available to me says you're not serious about getting a membership unless of course you are happy to go ahead with Townsend only.

I can't see any club paying what he wants, not on his current form anyway. He's been deadset horrible.

Is he going to get the most though? I don't think so, when you've played as poorly as he has this season it has to drop your price.

I don't think Chad has the ability to lead us around and do all our kicking. He is a big improvement on Robbo but unless Barba stands up we really need another half (as mentioned before Maloney would be my choice).

It's a tough situation and no answer is perfect. That's the reason why I think it's unreasonable to be too pissed off with what we end up with. We did the best we could to get the best answer in DCE.

Yeah but if you're going to continually use Robbo as your benchmark you will he happy with anyone we sign. We need to aim a lot higher than Robbo, not be content with just anyone.

3 Maloney (still in the air what happens and should be our target)
4 Sandow (still up in the air)

That's the best options with very little room between Cornish/Hastings/Hodkinson.

i made the point in the off season when everyone on here was circle jerking about him that given all their success last year hodko only got 10 try assists in 25 games
