He was not unwanted as such but we gave him a shot at regular first grade and you are 100% correct the dogs are just doing the same thing.

But will they Hamsy? Ennis, if re-signed, will be still be the first grade hooker. Only injuries will give Lichaa a shot at first grade it seems.

He will be on the bench to start, Ennis will get a 2 year deal but the end of it Liccha will be the number 1 hooker at the dogs.

Thats probably what the dogs have pitched to him. Then the dogs might have asked "and what have the blokes at the sharks got set up for you in the future?"

To which he would of replied, "mate i haven't even spoken to the coaching staff about my role this year, i have no idea where i stand".

ennis got a one year deal so I rekon lichaa will come off the bench in 2015 and then get the starting 9 spot in 2016. They are not going to pay lichaa big coin to play nsw cup

yet he could very well get the starting spot here in 2015, sounds like maybe it's not just about opportunities but a mix of $$$, opportunities, coach etc ?

As parra said at the time the NRL doesn't register the contract but its binding from the moment the player signs it. If they took it court he would be playing for the Eels.

Not if that clause is inserted. It's pretty clear.

There isn't any cooling off clause in the contract, the NRL just chooses not to register a contract till round 13 mainly due to Luke Lewis and his about face when he was meant to join the bunnies and didn't.

Can we pinch Mbye? Dogs have offered him 300k a year for two years according to fox sports. He is a half/hooker which means with Lichaa's arrival he's really just a backup half.

At some point we have to punt on a young player right?

I don't see how it's binding if the governing body hasn't registered it.

Its a funny bit of legal wrangling.

The NRL don't contract players individual clubs do, when a player signs a contract they sign it with for instance the Bulldogs Pty Ltd. Its an individual business to the NRL so they have the rights of a normal business to enforce a signed contract.

However if the NRL do not sanction the contract the player can not play in the NRL.

Parra in the end decided not to enforce their contract and released Josh from his obligations but the NRL had no authority to make them do that.

I can't see the bulldogs letting Liccha back out without a fight given it looks like they have been after him for a while.

Seems as though there is some scope if the player really wanted to. Anyway, he's been keen to get out for a little while going off what people like Yarra have been saying so he's not going to change his mind anyway.

Twitter has rumour of Glen Fisiiahi joining the dogs. They are seriously active. What's the go with Eastwood? He's off contract end 2014. He would be less than 850k and I like the way he rolls.
