"to take up opportunities elsewhere..."

We were interested in him before he signed with them.

I reckon Docker is the closest fit that I've seen suggested. Not in the Panthers best 17 but probably on a decent deal after making the Kangaroos squad a year or two back, been linked to the Dragons etc, mid-twenties, handy backrower/prop. Decent Gal/Heighno replacement actually.

Who are the supercoach players? Just go through the list haha.
was speaking to his cousin just the other day AB and he said he was hanging up his boots at the end of the season....his body is too busted up..apparently spends 2 hours pre game on the strapping bench

Haha. Interesting nonetheless gphs. I thought he was done and dusted about five years ago at the Raiders, its a credit to him that he's managed to turn himself into an above average first grade prop.

Looks like the Lurker's 'Simona -> Sharks' rumour was a good example of a manager feeding a story to a media rumour monger about his client taking the 'big money' elsewhere in order to scare Club he wants to stay at into forking out a little more cash late in the negotiations.

Didn't the SOB and his manager play us last time his contract was up for extension, obviously recruitment hasn't heard the expression"once bittern twice shy" so maybe now " twice bittern 3rd time shy"

Tim Simona would have been our first genuine marquee centre in a long time but I'd rather find more forwards, plenty of backline talent of our own to think about in the future.

He's the new Steve Matai, throwing out constant threats that he might just join the Sharks.

My god it was like ground hog day him and his shark rumor... Then we have to dig up the stats to prove that although he spends a certain percentage of a game rolling around like he has been shot, he is in fact not that injury prone..

His manager probably pirated some of the pro-Matai arguments from this very thread!

There are many sceptics about various positions being genuinely up for grabs but James Maloney has declared his clash against Josh Reynolds as a fair dinkum Origin shootout ahead of the City versus Country game on Sunday.

Maloney's long-term future remains undecided as he considers rich contract offers from Cronulla and Manly, but he remains confident of extending his stint at the Roosters.
