Very **** go if true, not sure why you'd do it at the worse possible time
To be fair to Fifita he was on a hiding to nothing. If he doesn't tell his team mates, it has to be done in the lead up to the clash with the team he is joining. If he did it two days before yesterdays clash (assuming he had made up his mind at this point) then he is undermining the start to the season.

I think he opted for total honesty and told them the decision had been made. If you are going to look bad no matter what you do, opting for honesty is a way to make yourself feel less bad.

Our beloved Toddy turned down more money than this. Makes me love him even more.

Anyone interested in Glenn Stuart?

Nope, we have enough back rowers, even if Gal moves to the front row next year. If we didn't have Graham or Lewis, I'd say yes we should have a go. But we're set for the back row.

Agree with this, particularly in view of the leaked info that it was a done deal.

Guys he is no different then any other mercenary in our Squad can be brought for the right $ no idea why Desi wants him though unless he is going to have a bit of a clean out over the next few years kind of hoping he has a crap season though lol and they have brought a dud.

But for those $$ we would have been stupid to keep him, but I am quite pissed that we are probably losing another of our young guys that had a crap load of potential but I guess that's Flanos/Sharps game plan he will take an older player with experience over a younger one any day of the week just look at our squad you could basically drop it into a masters competition lol.

I dont even understand why we bother with the lower grades anymore just seems a waste of $$.

Has there been any official announcement about him yet. I've been away from the radio all day.

And yeah, it seemed strange that he was warming up on his own.

Cheers

It wasn't good hearing the booing when he ran out, especially with no official announcement and all.

Well it's true anyway. No one at this club has the self belief to win a premiership.

It's about time we just said that we are going to WIN THE PREMIERSHIP THIS YEAR AND NOTHING IS GOING TO STOP US. We have a squad that is capable but we come up with excuses and mediocre goals like making the top 8 (out of a 16 team competition). It's time for that to stop. Stop putting this vague goal of a premieship at some distant point in the future out there with no actual plan of how to get there. There is no time like the present, make it happen NOW.
Totally agree.

Plenty of league players have taken a pay cut to stay at a club they are committed too, or simply happy at. Carney did it, Corey Parker more than once, I reckon can smith just did it and Thurston too recently. Robert Lui too. It's very common for a player not just to take the highest price. I have a lot more respect for players that understand the balance between money and environment.

I really hope Everything works out for Fifita, but I've got a bad feeling about it. And I'm not sure he's convinced it's the best call either. Just something about him last night seemed joyless.

Well when you think about it he has a lot to live up to over the next few years, crosshairs will be on him that's for sure.

Good luck to him.
