****ty management by the Sharks, particularly if Lichaa goes with him. Can't retain the most damaging runner in the league, can't retain one of the most highly regarded up and comers. Quick, sign some over the hill hack to make up for it.

*sign Dank instead of Walter White* ... list goes on ...

it Is Illegal In other sports, but the players don't challenge it because they value the game and are not as selfish.

The third party rules are a joke - do we have a salary cap or not?

If the cap doesn't change the rich & poor situation (which VERY obviously isn't the case - cheque book teams with no junior league still rule) - then **** it off and bring in a draft.

Can you get badminton on foxtel?

Jesus, I might have to consider watching soccer.

If you're back on your old patch mate for any weekend this season you could do worse than watch a game of my soccer comeback season. Have to say some of the blokes in my team would make you seem like a spring chicken!

not when you want a ferrari, a benz, a denali and a hummer.

I saw a doco on retired NBA and NFL players last year, about how over 60% of them are bankrupt within 5-6 years of being retired. Why? Because instead of being wise when they had the income, they board some sick chains for their necks and their cousins necks and their mates necks. They bought exotic car after exotic car. That theatre room you'd never use? Yep, useless.

Then once the money stops they still have the massive mortgage, because rather than use the money and actually buy a portfolio of properties, they would go all out on a multi million dollar home that they need to pay off, so they have other money left for the bling.

Then 1 day they lose it all.

Fair enough Fifita is probably looking at 600k extra for signing with the Dogs.
What i dont believe is the figure. The Sharks tabled their offer on Friday of 700k (or there abouts) The bulldogs countered on Saturday which is meant to be the offer he signed or will sign, which is 850,000……..why would the dogs counter 150,000 a season higher than us…….that just wouldnt happen

I'm sorry, but I can't look at a player seriously when they say the money was too good to refuse and its only 150k difference.

blah blah blah yeah only got a 10 year career maybe. Spend 700k wisely and the returns will mean the added 150k meant nothing in the end.

You have to be kidding, it is 150k a year. That makes it 600k over the 4 years.
Which is more than most people make in ten year. I wanted him to stay but I also understand that the money was to good to refuse.

exactly. 600K is like 10 years pay for me, if i want more i gotta work extra. He will be doing similar training (probably easier cos he wont be doing dune runs) play the same amount of games, his form will drop so wont have to worry about world cups or origins lol……for 150,000 a year extra.

Man my missus only went back to work 18 months ago, casual job i might add, with a mortgage, kids, and all the bills, her 30K a year income is helpful as all ****. Imagine getting an extra 150k a year.

That 600k………that extra, plus a bit he could pay off a million dollar home in 4 years, and still have a 600k a year salary.

Carney lost 1mil to stay in the shire, with a club with its own 'vision'. Fifita's a prick, words mean nothing.

i agree to an extent. Big props to Carney for what he has done. 3rd season (and minus the 'cocaine' testing) has not really got any negative press in his time here. Lasted 1 season at the Roosters before his troubles started……

Most players that go elsewhere for money never stay the same. This will happen to Andrew, and he will be forever remembered for that

As I said, its not about the now, its about the future. If you can't invest 700k and ensure you're set up for life, then you're a lost cause. No doubt he left because of the ASADA business and because he can't see us winning a premiership in his career.
