My first comment on this whole thing. He had a top year last year and has yet to make a tackle or run this year. Would I like to keep him? Yes. Do I want the club to pay a ridiculous amount for a bloke who may or may not perform in 12 months. Not really! If other clubs want to pay over 750 000 a year for a bloke who comes off the bench good luck to them. I sincerely hope he has a Stella year for us this year but I can't see a prop maintaining that form for a large number of years in succession. He is a top player but he has done it for 1 year. I repeat 1 year.
Anyway if we keep him it's good and if we lose the bloke the club moves on and so does life.

P.s suck a fat one knights

Bravo:drunk most sensible quote on here.

does anybody on here seriously think the media know what Faffita is being offered. They have no idea, it just makes good news. they can speculate on the cap but they wouldnt have a clue on what 3rd party deals may be offered. iam calling bull**** on anything being reported over $700k a year. What players in todays game are getting above that kind of money - Smith, Thurston, Inglis, Cronk. No club in their right mind would pay Faffita their kind of money.

I don't know if that would be true. It is in Fifita's interests to have it in the public domain. Get the bidders to start high from the outset.

There's no way it could be anywhere near the figures reported in the media.

Klemmer, Williams, Pritchard, Graham, Ennis, Tolman, Morris, Perrett, Hodkinson

All would be at least 'semi decent' money at least, no ****n way it can be anywhere near the amounts reported otherwise ****n good luck fitting in 25 players.

well until we have a 2015 coach its gunna be real hard to lure anybody here.

This is the main reason we need to get rid of Flanno now i reckon. Forget the personal attacks, forget the name calling, forget the personal opinions of his coaching or attitude. Him being tied to the Sharks in the current light is going to hinder sponsors, players and positive media attention coming out way.

If we can tell players we have a new coach next year, tell sponsors that 1 element of the ASADA **** is well and truly gone, its gunna go along way to helping our 2015 and beyond on the field.

The development isnt going to dictate what happens on the field

Like a lot of people here, I'm calling bull**** on the numbers that 3 mil over 4 year by the Dogs, look at the front rowers on their roster, all on big money, surely they are not stupid enough to put that much of their salary cap to four front rowers??? The only long shot way of this actually being true is if James Graham is about to head to the Bunnies. Even then its a stretch. If the figures are true, then he's gone people, the sad fact is that loyalty no longer exists and the players are mercenaries. He'll take the highest offer, as much as it sickens me, loyalty is dead........maybe rare at best.

Correct.

But it will facilitate it.

It will facilitate, but unless Bluestone are paying us in fingers to replace all the peoples penis' they have on their hands that play on our flanks we are gunna struggle haha.

The development creates some mid term revenue, lets just hope when those Dollars come flooding in we have a board who wont squander it, and i dunno, maybe invest it?

Prepare for the worst... It make it easier to deal with.

Hope it's the same outcome as when Snowden left.

His manager thinks he is the next big thing.
And NSW selectors, Des Hasler and I think Manly and a few other clubs were keen too. Not to mention every commentator I can think of and sports journo. Some of those guys know something. Yes his manager is talking him up, doesn't mean it's all BS.

They say there are stages of grief and before acceptance comes anger. I'm at the anger stage.

I think Fifita has treated this club pretty badly. He turns up a fat nobody, becomes the worlds best and then takes the biggest cheque he gets. It's not like we tried to low ball the guy, we would have offered huge dough!

I hope the sharks take the title in 2015 when he's gone and his time at the dogs is plagued with poor form, and team disunity. That way he can stare at his bank balance and wonder if it was all worth it. And let's chuck in a salary cap bust a swell.

I just don't like the guy anymore. Pure and simple. Taga is now my number 1 sharks prop and Fifita can do an ACL in origin for all I care.

Of course I'll move to the acceptance stage in a few days and take back all of the above.
