Just heard/ read. Much the same as you all.
One of my favourites and he was like no other.

Remember him scoring some unbelievable tries and not just the GF one.

He could do it all and will be missed. I don’t want to see him in different colours but good luck to him and make your coin big man.

With Vaughan off and form of Thompson, TPJ and King questionable at times they could really use some extra impact up front.

And then he can backflip on them late and go to England to play with his brother.

There's a strange absence of talk about Fifita joining the Dolphins. He's the only available player not linked to them... And I genuinely think he'd be a great pick up for them. The optics wouldn't be great, but the work Andrew could do with the indigenous community and players, and how he could help build a team culture would be genuinely valuable

FIFITA WEIGHS UP INTEREST

Off-contract Andrew Fifita has revealed he’s had interest from both NRL and Super League clubs after announcing that he won’t be re-signing with the Sharks.

Fifita has played 208 of his 247 NRL games with the Sharks but will be in new colours next season.

The Sharks offered him an on-field role for next season but the 33-year-old believes he’s still got another couple of years left in him.

Speaking to Triple M on Thursday, Fifita shared that he had received interest from NRL clubs, but he’s also considering a move to the UK Super League — where his brother plays.

“I will miss the Sharks but I won’t call time just yet, I feel like I’ve still got a good couple (of years left), but if I can get one more I’ll be grateful for that,” Fifita said.

“I’ve got a few Super League clubs at the moment especially with my brother coming off (contract) with his team and he’s pretty keen as well.

“There has been a few NRL clubs pop up but at this point of where I am now, I see myself as that bench role and just that influence you have on players, helping them grind their way. My goal is for these young ones.”

So we did free him 1 yr and he said he would take 1 but prefers 2?

This must be more a coin thing then.

Okay yes, I just read the bit you bolded and underlined, but from what he’s saying it’s not about what was offered from sharks it’s a about not wanting to stand in the way of others at sharks

No way in hell he gets a 2yr deal with an NRL club, maybe in ESL but probably still unlikely.
