This one stings. A lot of love to the big unit. I hope he goes and plays alongside his brother for a season. Would be a fitting end to his career. Got a feeling it isnt goodbye though, I suspect he’ll eventually come back in a non playing capacity. Until then, see ya legend.

Last year I was calling him to medically retire. At the start of this year I was saying the same thing. I regret saying that because he has been massive this year and I was really hoping we would get 1 more year here. I don’t want him playing for another NRL club. Really hoping a super league side offers him good coin and he goes there then comes straight back to us when he’s done for an off field role.

I think its the right Decision for both parties. What a legend, and Gracious in his comments.
Would have loved the Sharks to throw him $250k/ season for 2 more years. Definitely worth it I think. On and off the field.

God love the big fella. Great presser. He will be sorely missed for a year but hopefully that coaching role will line up and he will be involved in the club for a long time to come.
What a great press conference. I couple of cheeky swipes at Tigers and NRL (all in good jest).
Obviously Sharks couldn't fit him in next year at the right price.
I would be happy to see him have his final year at the Tigers then come back to us in us in role of cultural awareness / junior football and game day with sponsors etc.

The thing is, when you leave a club and get into another clubs systems it’s harder to prize them back.
If he went to the Tigers, he probably stays there after footy.
I’m hoping he goes to England for a big pay day before coming back here (more chance of it happening).
