I would have AFif on the bench early rounds. We all know he's hard to handle, and creates opportunities with the ball. The middle we are hoping has 3 good defenders there game 1. We need to avoid the usual 0-4 start this yr. Have him on while the middles are on if possible.

he’ll definitely play a few games here and there I think but he’s not in my fully fit 17 unfortunately.

Where are you playing him!?
Probably some sort of edge spot, drifting, offload to Hynes/Brayley sort of combo.Agree its hard to fit him in, but just a hunch for points early rounds, till we get going and the final make up presents itself..

Don't think Fifi defending on an edge is going to be pretty.

Wait you’re saying Fifita was Sharks best player?

Check the stats on Fifita for yourself

Sounds like I don't need to watch games anymore, save myself some time and just check stats afterwards.

Nicho's stats are better
That was just Easiest way to show you that Fifita had a good game for 46 mins.

We can’t compare the two stats they are in 2 very different positions -

Fifita had High run meters (top 3) for the team, post contact meters, tackles breaks, tackle efficiency, runs. Those stats are what forwards always get rated on

Anyone that watched the game and didn’t realise the impact Fifita had on his team is slow, for people like you I refer to stats

Thanks for your assistance.

My concerns with Fifita are not with ball in hand.

Using stats in actual NRL games to measure a player’s performance is a pretty soft argument at the best of times. Using them for an All Stars game is just craziness. FFS it’s a fund-raiser game with unlimited interchange featuring 30 blokes whose training is customised to peak several months from now, and another ten who have barely played in the NRL in the last 12 months - or at all.

It is what it is. Great concept. Fun for the fans, players and their families - but the on field performance of any player in that game means absolutely zero in terms of how he is going to go this year at NRL level.

Fifita played 9 minutes, rest, 12 minutes, rest, 9 minutes, rest, 3 minutes, rest, 8 minutes, rest, 11 minutes, off

That’s 11 interchanges for one player. An NRL team gets 8. Getting through the game healthy and without a suspension is great. Anything else means f*ck all.

The number of interchanges in the game was laughable. 43 for the Maori and 51 for the indigenous. No wonder the game was so clunky to watch.

WTF???

Raiders star Jordan Rapana will be allowed to serve a suspension from an off-season drink-driving charge alongside his All Stars game ban.

The 32-year-old was handed a one-match ban for a DUI in grand final week and was again handed a two-match suspension after a shoulder charge on David Fifita early in the showcase match.

The NRL will controversially allow Rapana to serve the sentences concurrently, meaning he will only miss the first two rounds of the 2022 season according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

The NRL has started with the stupid **** even BEFORE round 1
🤦🏻‍♂️
