No worries Bort
I thought an interesting part was

Fifita was told he would not be entitled to a medical retirement .Had medicos agreed the knock in round 22 was enough to spell the end of his career, he could have collected the $850,000 he stands to earn at Cronulla this year, and lived a comfortable life with his wife and four young children. The payout would have been exempt from the Sharks’ salary cap .

I'm more than happy to have him onboard this year ( love to see him closer to his best ) and farewell him properly if it's his last year here.

BUT , what do we think the Club might have done/bought with an extra $850K in 2022 ?
Yeah that was an interesting quote!

Who are these medics?
I would have to guess that they are independent of the Sharks and likely linked to the NRL’s insurers.
So then. What would constitute for a medical retirement approval?
Nearly die 5 times??

Obviously I hope his doesn’t happen but if Fifita cops a shot in the throat and he is severely affected by it I hope he gets to sue the **** out of those medics that rejected it and send them and the insurer to the wall!

Fifita with the chip and chase classic. Played with a lot of passion. Tried to lift his side.

Probably won't make our starting 17.
But handy to have that passion up our sleaves, when he's required.
Total TEAM mate

Player way better than he had any right to. Good on you big guy. I hope he sticks around to coach after he's done

Yeah agree. If he stays fit and keeps training hard he will get his chance during the season.

One of the only players on his side that made serious impact carting it up. Doesn't seem to have that lateral defence these days.

I was impressed with him though.

Because of the defence I don't see him as a top tier player anymore unfortunately, but could play an important role at some stage through the season.

Absolutely love the guy and the passion he puts into the game.

Very lazy off the ball at times too
And looked like he was blowing after about 10mins but was first proper run in while.

Glad he looked like he should be at least around same level as last year though.

Best sharks player tonight - Hynes and Trindall were ok nothing special, Kennedy quiet, Ramien solid, Nikora didn’t do bad

Apart from being one of the best players on the field Hynes didn't do much.
7/10 game, was in charge of the team and on the field the whole game - maybe my expectations were too high, he went alright nothing special

Can you think of another player with an above 7 score though? Wouldn't be many I'd reckon.
