Yes, if we can get him back to at least 90% capabilities this year , that would be GREAT
Had mentioned in the game thread that he still didn't look that mobile. Was noticibly behind the pace the whole game. Had a good work rate.
Tbh a bit disappointed after the hype around his weight loss.

FIFITA ANNOUNCES COMEBACK IN STYLE
It wasn’t just his introduction to the tribal dance that announced Sharks star Andrew Fifita’s return to prominence in 2016.
The 31-year-old admitted his weight ballooned last season as the premiership winner struggled to find his best footy.
It got to the point Sharks coach John Morris discussed medical retirement with Fifita two years before his current contract expires.
Fifita has trimmed down this season and looked fighting fit as he took on the Maori team in typically aggressive style.
Fifita had 61 metres from eight runs with an offload and 22 tackles without a miss through the first three quarters.

No one passed the eye test in that game, it was ****ing awful
Def looked fitter but you could tell his knees are cooked. Someone put in a grubber towards the end of the game and he kind of just jogged/ambled after it. Couldn't help but remember that game against St George where he toed the ball on and beat everyone there for a try.

You mean in 2013, well yeah he's clearly not going to be as agile 7 years later after a few knee injuries and 120 games(ish) more of NRL

Snoozefest that ended in a non result.
If you didn't watch it, you missed nothing
Maybe I was just stoked to be watching footy again, but I enjoyed the game. Was close all the way, some solid defence for a preseason game. Plenty of passion.
Looking at you Fifs.
REFS TO LAUNCH PLAY-THE-BALL BLITZ
Stand by for a blitz on play-the-ball penalties in the opening round of NRL action this weekend.
Referees bosses have warned clubs that sloppy and incorrect play-the-balls will be one of their main areas of interest in the first few weeks of the comp.
With the new rules speeding up the game to never-before-seen levels, the play-the-ball is seen as an area that could give defences vital micro-seconds to regroup.
Attacking players must actually touch the ball with their foot as they roll it behind them, not just go through the motions.
Players have been warned - but more than one front-rower is certain to forget in the heat of battle.
