Mate I'm ****en stumped how a dunce like you, against all odds, finds the on button of your device to come here and display your rampant stupidity week on week. You should be on $800k for that effort. Or at least a hefty NDIS plan.

No it’s not his fault at all
His body is failing him

Very concerning for our roster if he can’t get back above this years form though given we have him for 3 more years

Unfortunately he’s probably too stubborn to retire and won’t do what’s best for his body or us

I’ll be stoked if they can fix that knee and get him going again, don’t get me wrong. And I still love what he has done for us

Do we know what is wrong with his knee?

It never even seems to get mentioned despite it being obvious for a long time.

This oration is right up there with the likes of Churchill and Luther King...a true classic that will never find its way into the classrooms and unis, but will surely be remembered by Forum members for years to come...

As a young boy, I dreamed of being a baseball. But tonight I say, we must move forward, not backward; upward, not forward; and always twirling, twirling, twirling towards freedom!

Unfortunately Puma will not respond or engage.

He will disappear for a while and then, when you least expect it, BOOM! He'll surface again with another piece of idiocy. :)

It is interesting though, at 30 years of age he should have another three years in him.

In reality, who knows? We can't keep persevering with a big money player if there's an obvious issue that is unable to be resolved.

I love the big fella when he's on, hopefully whatever it is can be addressed so he's in full flight come round 1 next year.

Does anyone know if it can be made better (even if not back to 100%) with surgery that has a long recovery period?

If we've got him for 3 more years surely he goes under the knife ASAP.

I think it was his PCL that went last year, and was not operated on.
Lots of players in NRL have no PCL.

Just had a quick google and one study says 91.3% of it's athletes (non-operated PCL injury) were playing at the same level or higher two years later. After 5 years 69.5% were still playing at same level or higher.
So while typically you'll be sweet based on this study there is also a lesser number of athletes who decline.

I wouldn't be surprised if Fifita also has swelling & pain management issues with cartilage in the knee.

One thing ive noticed a few times coach say after him going down is, well it’s not going to get worse so he’ll be alright which is a fkd up way of thinking.

clearly he’s getting hurt and it’s not getting better, there must be something we can do if not someone needs to make a tough decision on his future.

We're paying for a Ferrari and getting an EA Falcon and saying it's okay cause the engine is capable of clocking over 1,000,000.

All things being equal, I wouldn't play Fifita any more this year unless we make the finals.

Give him the last four weeks off to get his injuries better. Obviously he'll never get them right but he needs time to refresh.

If we don't make the semis then he goes into the break and then a full pre-season trying to get it better for 2020.

I don't know if its the fact he doesn't want to let his teammates down or whether it is just arrogance but someone has to take the bull by the horns and say enough. No more football for a month.

Have Woods and Uele start, Williams and Bakuya on the bench for rotation, with Prior if he is fit. Capewell can cover for Wade, Gal, Brailey.

Just get Fifita out of there for the next four rounds and let him freshen up.

I can just see it now. We give him time off to get better and he goes and plays a knock-out comp without telling anyone, and it makes the papers for a week.

Only give him the time off it he's having a procedure that'll make it better IMO.

Tonga likely to have any games end of year? He won't take time off or have surgery before he plays for Tonga either.
