You will get knuckleheads have a whinge, the same people that want the international game to grow.

Tonga in the world cup was great, need more if it.

I’m all for it, my only worry is that Fifta seems like a pretty impulsive kinda guy - to put it nicely.

I reckon he might change is mind in a year or two and come across looking pretty foolish.

The extra 90k per year would be nice. Despite all that, I think he’d be lucky to be picked. I reckon Fitler will shake it up a bit and I believe Vaughn, McLean, Campbell-Gillard and Klemmer are before him... ***k Aaron woods.

It's not about the coin, it's about heritage, passion and pride.
I'm not saying the Australian players don't have that, but for the minnow teams it's great to see these guys pick their heritage over money.
Great to see from both AF and JT also.

I don’t have an opinion either way on whether individual players want to play for Australia or another team. It is up to the player and that’s fine with me.

I do however think it will be great for the game if we get another seriously competitive International Rugby League team.

Good on him. Origin being a stepping stone to the Aus team, for which his character was called into question and he was barred from playing. My boy plays in a League team with the majority of non Aust born Nationalities, always has. The heritage pride, and closeness of some of them is cultural/family orientated, and as a general observation, well over and above the Aust boys. Andrew ranks representing his Background/Nation over NSW, why is that a surprise? They should be applauding him for not going for the money.The media are really poor sometimes.

Certain elements of the media love pressuring people into making a change or concession. When it doesn't work they spit the dummy.

Certain elements of the media can't write to save themselves so they attack others to deflect from their own deficiencies to feel better about themselves!

Can someone tell me why this fellow runs sideways for 70 mins and only decides to run straight and hard in the last 10 when we’re more than 12 behind?
