This is only my thoughts so therefore probably bollocks but i reckon he's the kind of bloke that if the club shows him a bit of love (which it seems to) and gives him a decent offer moneywise he'll sign without testing the market.

That's what I think as well, so even more chance of it being bollocks now.

Since he signed the dogs contract the club has stood by him with the road rage incident, crying ref incident, fkl incident as well as his personal mental health issues. And thsts off field. Team of the half century, grand final winning try. If fifita is not deeply attached to the club by now he will never be.

As i said, a 1 mil or thereabouts deal per year is what most clubs will be offering, we would be silly to go in with a lower offer anyway.

I hope you're right.

But given the opportunity to make an extra mill somewhere else is pretty hard to turn down no matter how attached to a club you are.

No doubt. I highly doubt he leaves us for another nrl team. Not to say he doesnt go to another code or comp, but i doubt he goes to a rival team.

Are you suggesting someone else is gonna offer him $2M? If our money is as good as everyone else's I agree he sticks around. He was a totally different bloke when he said alot of the stuff mentioned and when he signed with the dogs, and we were a pretty different Club. Both have grown up and helped each other a lot - he won't be leaving to go to a "stronger" Club anymore.

Unless Uncle Wayne offers him a spot in the halves.

Not 2 mill a year, but an extra 200-250 a year over 5 years. That could easily happen.
