I think it gives player managers a good reason to jack their prices up for their players who may or may not come to us

Thats a bit negative isn't it. As far as Sharks coaches go I think he has been the most frugal. As mentioned earlier he is very honest, whats wrong with saying you want a rep back. He and 15 other coaches feel this way.

Also doesnt fill your current centres with confidence knowing your coach would prefer someone else there.
Some things dont need to be said in the media.

He doesn't say centre though he says back, which is a little more ambiguous. Personally I don't have a problem with him publicly putting them on notice. They have been woeful for 3 seasons.

For mine the biggest thing with Fifita is keeping him motivated. Him getting selected into the All-stars game and the Emerging Origin Squad is only going to do wonders for his game. When he is playing confidently and making decisive moves with the ball he is as dangerous as any big man in the comp. Can't wait to see what Carney can muster up with him.

Agree on Gibbs. If it wasn't for being one of the niggliest players in the comp he'd be one of the most boring- he does nothing with his runs and tbh I don't have much hope of that changing. Good defender in the ruck though. We will rely pretty heavily on Ross getting our sets going.

Not sure whether Flano intends to use him at prop, but I still would really like to see Taga and Fifita coming off the bench together in the front row with Gal shifting to tight backrower when Big Jez has a spell. The Roosters really got a lot out of having Lama Tasi and Mose Masoe running as a one-two pair last year- remember what they did to us. Taga and Fifita are at least as big and just as talented. Taga's footspeed and his willingness to just charge straight in to the teeth of the ruck at 100m/hour will hopefully balance out Fifita's tendency to crab around and palm.

That is crazy slow!!!

lolz.

My bad.

AB thats what ive been saying for months now.

Yeah, I've been familiar with the idea myself for quite a while. I was put off by Flano saying at the Gallen press conference that he wants to pick four of the six props at the Club each week and not mentioning Taga as one.
