It's absolutely nuts down here mate. I'll be catching the train in to West Richmond Station tonight. Not sure I'll be able to get in to any of the pubs before the Sharks game.

I must admit I do get a bit envious at times, I love how big games like this take over the whole city. It's bloody great.

I've flown down for a few big games over the years involving Carlton (obviously a long time ago :)) and it's such a great experience.

I don't know who to follow this week. As much as I despise Collingwood I'm leaning towards them which is disgusting.

Can't think of a worse AFL/NRL weekend than this one.

I'm hoping the Eagles get up, only because my Mum was such a die hard fan. If the Eagles lose, some people at work might have to take leave to recover from a broken heart.
Not looking forward to the media barrage that would follow a win though.

What's the vibe over there Jenny. Are they confident?
I heard on the radio $4k return trip from wa to Melbourne that radical 😬.

Yeah they're pretty confident, some just quietly and others willing to bet and/or fight anyone that says other wise!
$4k is just plain ridiculous and I thought $1k to NSW for me in 2016 was robbery. A lot of people are making the drive across the Nullarbor with friends, even with fuel prices, still cheaper than flying. Probably find the Indian pacific trains and interstate buses will be choccas too.

7,000km drive round trip. That is insane, talk about devotion.
