If said agent has another player we are chasing, they might not talk to us.

I think it's a luxury of being a stronger side. Agents won't want to close off us as an opportunity for their clients, therefore they keep it quiet. If the Tigers of late were trying that through most players might sit on the side of not wanting to go there anyway. Agree it's a fine balance though.

Pretty well known that this stuff goes on though. Couple of agents have lost their accreditation over it. Not really a stretch to think that others have done it and gotten away with it, or just been given a stern talking to.

For sure, it's the same as any profession, some don't follow the rules.
