Can’t wait for Blayke to feed this mongrel.

But knowing Blayke.
Service is gonna be at the big fella’s toes or behind him.

Okay so have more fully processed this signing and what it means.
I can't lie, I have wanted AFB here from the getgo, and have stated so, as I knew he was the key ingredient and formidable platform to build a new era for this Club around.
Also I have to confess to being a doubter about Coach Fitzgibbon, his vision , his persona , I doubted whether the Sharks had made the right call with him as Coach.
But after this coup , this whole process , the way it was handled and managed; the level of professionalism shown by the whole team who got this done, with the due respect it deserved.
I just wanted to say how my perception and the front office has changed and now I see that the Sharks imo, have arrived and are now major players in this League and are a force to be reckoned with.
This was all I ever wanted and feel over the moon, so bouyed by this pivotal play at this time in our history.
I am so on board now with how the Club having the foresight to sign such a classy, savvy Coach and now I feel I can relax and trust the process and know the Front Office and the Head Coach are playing a long game and mean to put this Club where it deserves!
I am not ungrateful for the years that produced a Trophy long overdue for this club, but now I feel the media and outside doubters might give us the respect this Club deserves!
On the whole, this is a pinch me moment, all my aspirations and excitement for this Club, makes this Holiday Season beyond special, this is a cheerful season and I feel a spirit of this Club giving beyond my hopes and dreams, a gift for the ages.

Not sure what you've been watching mate
I’m just having a lend mate.

Looking forward to the Big fella throwing on Sharkies jersey sooner rather than later.

I’ve gotta say.
This is probably the biggest signing we’ve had in a long time.

Maybe Maloney?
Might come close.

I got the same vibes just watching his highlights earlier. Actual pack leader. This is only going to make everyone better too.

This signing will do wonders for our pack next year. The pigs will need to duke it out to avoid being the one/s released in 2025

Well said! The patience this club has shown to focus inward now looks so good as they landed the big fish when it counted. We haven't panicked, and now are in our best position since 2016.

This makes 2024 so valuable to our run. We have two question marks IMO, left centre and five eighth. Use this year to make sure the right pieces are in those spots and our time comes in 2025.

So I have been trawling, dragons and bulldogs forums for kicks
It is so refreshing to see the contrast of our more restrained comments against the bitter vitriol of the others
One comment that stood out to me was the " how can the competions biggest basket cases land AFB "

We did because we are now seen as a secure, professional and competent outfit to be a part of, a Club going places.
Great time to be alive Sharks fans, great times
We are on the cusp of something very special and I am going to enjoy good company on this forum
Salute

I have to be completely honest, I had no idea though neither did anyone apart from our coach & board that we were after him, when I was reading that Dogs (again) & Dragons were the favourites I was pretty disappointed. Eitherway, reading this this arvo after work just got me completely fired up & excited.

Reading all this other stuff as to what all the articles said about it that he signed for less then what any other club offered because he had faith in our club & Fitzzy to win a premiership before he retires just made it even better. Another big player like Hynes who quietly has faith in our great club out of the "Blue"!

Good signing. In line with what our team needs... now. He's a Warrior for another season though, unless the club pulls a miracle.
Forgive me, but I'll get excited next off-season, especially if he plays in 24 as well as he did in 23.

I was only stirring here… exciting times. I like how we are an attractive club for prospects. Its been that way for a few years. Anyone we have openly shown interest in has signed.
I always thought it during the dark times that the club being in the Shire and the area that it is that if the club got its act together off the field we'd have every player in the country busting the door down to get into the place and so it has proven to be the case.

Could hardly sleep last night.
It all has sunk in
We have arrived, we have an identity
A Sharks brand, confidant, assured, professional
Ready to tear this Comp a new one
We are going places
I have made no secret in my belief Nicho isn't a halfback, but trust Coach Fitzgibbon if he says Nicho is a Hooker, wait that sounds wrong
But my point being I'd trust Coach Fitzgibbon alone with my naked wife.
