It seems that every player that gets released or is some new up & comer, so many people say 'Sharks should sign him' It shows that you have no faith in the team that Sticky is building, We were 1 game short of the GF this season, we bought well for 2009, sure we lost a couple, but lets just run with the team on hand.

bloody spot on!! i see it all the time as well and frankly i am sick of it.... most used words on this forum "sharks should sign him".

Reminds me of another Player Barett

Da Dyke's was released because of injury problems (injury clause in contract ?)Barret asked for a release because of family issues wife is apparently homesick a bit of a difference if you ask me if you needed a 5/8th who would you take?

Agreed.... wtf are you people talking about water boy.... he was a gun between 2000-2003 we have to sign him. injuries overule most players careers, he may only play 4 games in the season, but what if he doesnt get an injury? then we have a great versatile player to come off the bench and give great impact as a hocker cos we lost kinga and issac.

Also what if seymore gets another injury i dont want green back in the side.

Cronulla Repz!

:nodlaugh finally someone agrees!!!!!!!!!! and yes i also agree that dykes will play a good role as hooker. now if we can only gain vangana as well

Bring Adam back to the club as a kicking coach. He would help guys like Seymour and Green considering Kimmorley is gone.

Thats something I can agree on I think I said it earlier in the thread or another one he could be useful for the club and learn a lot from Ricky as I said maybe assistant to Lance to start with.

Also guys whats happening with the player manager thing Lance is doing does he have a deadline or something to stop being a manager or coach?

I think he could be a good coach for the future it would be a shame for the NRL to lose him in this capacity.

I think he is only managing a few players, so he is still allowed to coach. I'd prefer him as a coach though.

Sydney.
I think he could be used as a back-up for Wing & Sandow at Souths.
5/8, half & Hooker are 3 of your 4 most prominent positions & he has them covered.
Off the bench i would say he could be a very valuable asset.

Dykes sounded out as partner for Benji

ADAM DYKES could make a shock return to the NRL after being approached to join Wests Tigers.

The Tigers have resolved the future of star halfback Benji Marshall, although there is still conjecture over his long-term halves partner. Utility John Morris has been used in the pivot role with mixed results, while coach Tim Sheens has intimated Chris Lawrence could eventually shift from the centres to five-eighth.

Former Cronulla and Parramatta half Dykes, who returned to Australia after an injury-marred stint with Hull, is earmarked as a potential partner for Marshall.

"We've had a chat," Tigers CEO Scott Longmuir confirmed yesterday. "There's nothing confirmed but we've had a chat.

"He's got a bit of interest in playing again and, from a back-up point of view, there could be a bit of interest there from us.

"That's basically all there is at the moment. It's in at an embryonic stage. We've just had some discussions."

Dykes played just12games in a disappointing Super League stint that ended when Hull released him last season with a year still remaining on his contract. But the 32-year-old is keen to reignite an NRL career of 221 games and the Tigers appear to be his most likely destination.

"He feels fresh, fit and injury-free," Longmuir said. "He's looking to have another run."

That would make for two very flamboyant halves. Could be either a stroke of genius or an absolute debacle.
