Maybe they should of had a end of year "fan" day with the players to show them they have our support even though they didnt go so well as hoped,
sell some more merchandise sausage sizzle and jumping castle for the kids?
I can only remember the one fan day at the start of the year.

Yeah that'd be a brilliant idea.

It'd be a great way to engage with the community again as we are seriously being overrun by outsiders.

I saw a kid wearing a Parra jersey with Hayne #1 on the back last Sunday in Miranda.

If we got more TV games that kid might've been wearing ours with Gards on the back.

Drag Queen territory.
Hey guys, sorry I never posted again on this topic - I've been in Byron Bay the past week doing all kinds of things I shouldn't discuss here. Let's just say I never realised that there were peyotes in Australia.

Anyway, this afternoon I'm gonna drop by the Leader office and ask them how much ads would cost.

So given the recent Australian positional selections, who thinks this idea is up for a bit of tweaking?

A full on Gal tribute in The Leader that coincides with the Four Nations Final?

It would be good for the Sharks to see an Aus/NZ final, and some Leader space dedicated Jeremy Smith too.

This is probably going to cause a riot and in no way am i having a shot at Gal but lewis did have a pretty good year. i do stand to be corrected but when the final poles were done, penrith were second on the table and lewis was a major factor in getting them there. Now before anyone start screaming and abusing me, keep it in mind that i did not direspect gal in any way and i pity the person who does on this forum

I would take Gal any day before Lewis.

Gal has the grunt you can build a club around.

Stats
Gal - Tackles 35, Metres 176, Offloads 2.9, Tackle Breaks 2.6, LBA .4, TA 0.3
Lewis - Tackles 25, Metres 85, Offloads 1.3, Tackle Breaks 3.7, LBA .85, TA 0.8

Looking at those stats I really dont think you could go with Lewis before Gal, yes Lewis is great in attack, but Gals workload is second to none.

yep stats are good for gal, but i was not comparing players just stating that lewis did go well last season just like the past ten seasons.while i would take gal ahead of him to, i would always find room for lewis in my perfect team

he only trumps him in tackles, meters gained, average it on hitups and you will see there isnt much of a difference.
lewis killed him in try assists and line breaks and all the other stuff. i cant complain lewis got it, him or gallen were worthy winners

I will repeat it one more time, im not trying to compare just stating that lewis did ok too but seeing u bought it up lewis,s versatility in playing different positions to me is a feather in his cap. that what makes him an asset to any team.

Lewis is over rated. I don't think he is good enough for the NSW side let alone the Australian side.

Maybe on the bench for NSW as a utility 2nd rower I guess.

Yeah agreed, most people seem to rate him. I've never really seen it other than his utility value which is very impressive. Jack of all trades I guess is where I'm coming from.

ah...alright, my 2 cents worth.

gal played lock ALL year.

lewis played......half, 5/8, second row, probably a bit of centre as well, not much lock

i would go as far to say that they need another award.....utility.

Are you kidding he kills it whenever he plays rep games and along with gal and thaiday is the best back rower as shown in the aussie team selections, during origin whenever a QLD'er needed to be shut down lewis was the one to do it and his running game is great.
