But yeah apparently boogs is **** hey....
he was filth last year and you can't deny that

Lads, 2010 or i will do 1 of these threads every week and keep a score so we have a SF player of the season. So the more votes the better.
I think we should make the cut off Friday 6pm if everyone is cool with that

Keep the votes coming in lads

Wouldn't it make more sense to cap the votes per game? Obviously an exaggeration but if generally 20 people vote, but one week someone has a blinder and 100 people give them 3 points, wont it make an uneven result. Or otherwise you could avoid that by dividing by number of voters each week. Just some thoughts, great idea and will be cool to see how it turns out.

Actually scrap that, over complicated it in my brain and forgot how simple it is. Carry on.

Yeah thanks mate, maybe instead of using the whole tally say for example fifita gets 55 vote points in the week we just say fifita was voted man of the match week 1 so gets 3 points, bukuya 2 points etc. That should stop the blow outs you mention.

Haha yeah realised this after I posted the first one. By far the easiest way.

3. Ennis
2. Chad
1 Fifita

Bird would get a vote, but at centre he just doesn't get the ball enough. With limited opportunities he was awesome.

I cant give anything to feefs. We all know how damaging he can be as a runner, but his ill discipline was there again and for me it nullifies anything he does thats good. Seems he just wont learn, and I find that really disappointing.

Boogs really impressed. Barba looked sharp and very glad were using him as a starter, hope that continues.
Chad was really good in his first game back, and Jimmy looked great without having to do too much. Agree he needs to see more ball. This is one of the top scorers from last season and if he wants the ball he should get it every time.

Great game, and not much to complain about at all :)

Fifs was one of our few props consistently making inroads & progress after initial impact from the defender. i.e. some actual go forward.

I wasn't over the moon with his game and there weren't any real major standouts in our team but Fifs seem to be our best over the 80 mins hence my giving him the 3 points

His cutout pass that went forward was worth trying and we had plenty of offenders when it came to giving away penalties (Ennis, Maloney ect). Ball control and handling was a bit suss across our whole forward pack and spine

Should just get fitz to open the old system up again. Was a piece of piss to do

Not as easy as that mate - several software upgrades since then. If I get the time I'll see if it's doable.

I've had a look at the old 3-2-1 plug-in system and it would take more to get it back up and running and tested than it's worth.

I reckon just get somebody to do a pretty basic spreadsheet and manually enter the info each week. From there you can massage or extract the data as you want. I do think you should have some averaging/weighting system to account for varying numbers of respondents from week to week - especially if you're looking at whole year cumulative totals.

Think we'll just go with the basic 3-2-1 points each week and not worry about the cumulative total. Probably the easiest way.
