To me no one really stood out but we didn't have any terrible performances either which was good.

I didn't see the game. Where did Boogs play when he came on/who did he come on for? What did he do well?

Cheers in advance

Boogs
Fifita
Bird (would've been Graham if not for that miss)

AB Boogs had a really strong game running the ball

Lads, 2010 or i will do 1 of these threads every week and keep a score so we have a SF player of the season. So the more votes the better.

3 - Boogs: Ran the ball with determination. Hopefully this added pressure of having JSL and Paulo breathing down his neck will be enough for consistent performances from
Boogs this year. A beast when he fires.

2 - Chad: Looked good out there. One to watch this year. Strong defensive reads, looks good in attack, great positional play. A kick or two didn't reach the mark however I've got no doubt he's in for a big year.

3 - Maloney: A little quiet tonight for a man of his stature but I can't express how good it is to have reliable halves that can kick. Forced the repeat sets a couple times with well placed kicks. His leadership attribute and experience is second to none.

Special Mentions:

Bird: Looks good with the ball in his hands, looks fit and knows how to get over the try line. Needs the ball in his hands more.

Barba: Could have injected himself into the game more. I don't want to spark up the 'Can he play 80 debate' however, he was caught grasping for air a couple times. Showed safe hands and his support play was good. Did nothing wrong and will only get better.

A. Fifs: Discipline improved slightly with less silly errors. Ran straight and hard and was a menace to tackle. Those tackle busts and line breaks will be damaging this year with the backs we have.

3 Bukuya - Easily our best forward, possibly his best game since returning from the Warriors

2 Bird - Scored a crucial try to get us back within 2 points in a match where I thought all the outside backs were a bit quiet.

1 Fifita - Looks set for a big season
