Great White
Mark^Bastard's ratings for Cronulla vs Wests Tigers (NRL Premiership, Round 1, 2012)
3 Points - Todd Carney: Looked really great when he ran a bit wider like a 5/8. Can create out of no where and change the momentum of a game single handedly. Wow. (9/10)
2 Points - Bryce Gibbs: Wow, he really put in. He's our new Douglas for sure. He just doesn't leave anything in the tank and if he can keep this up we'll be in good stead. (9/10)
1 Point - Colin Best: Some really strong running too. Looked young and enthusiastic! (9/10)
- Nathan Gardner: I actually thought he was okay. Defense needs improvement. (6/10)
- John Williams: Did alright. No strong opinion. (6/10)
- Ben Pomeroy: Did he do a single thing wrong? Damn he had some strong runs and love seeing the trademark body slam. (9/10)
- Matthew Wright: Is playing out of position and of course he'll want to play in the NRL so I can't blame him really for being chosen. (5/10)
- Wade Graham: Is playing out of position. I would have given him less but he had some good moments when running it and in defense. (7/10)
- Isaac De Gois: It was so good to see him back in Sharks colours. I think he'll look better if rotated better. It was a hot day but he definitely degraded as time went on and really needed a break. (7/10)
- Ben Ross: Turned up and had a reasonable game. He was subbed off quite early, not sure why. (8/10)
- Jeremy Smith: Was quite good, typical performance. (8/10)
- Anthony Tupou: Was just okay. Good touch with that first try, nothing spectacular afterwards. (7/10)
- Paul Gallen: Was definitely off his game. Tough conditions to play in after being crook that week. (7/10)
- Andrew Fifita: I think he put in a really good effort but was targeted by the defense which stopped him having a heap of impact. Still had a lot of tackle busts and I think was good in defense. (8/10)
- Sam Tagataese: Didn't offer anything too special. I know he's capable of more and won't always have a highlight for every game. (6/10)
- John Morris: Actually looked great off the bench. Provided some impact and plenty of direction. (8/10)
- Jayson Bukuya: He was possibly our best forward. I love the way he runs and defends. I'm giving the biccies to Gibbs because of effort but Bukuya was all class. (9/10)
