Imo this has a lot to do with the NRL’s dumb “don’t touch the kicker” crackdown. Sharks would dominate the Dogs in defence and then just take 3 steps from marker in Burton’s general direction. If you can’t kick pressure these guys they get a free pass to boom one down field.

True. Feels like it goes against the NRL's direction of putting more ball in attacking position, too. Yet they crack down on kicker shielding and chase obstruction! Weird combo

Not hating on anyone’s opinions (well few are just embarrassing) but whenever u need to decide between Cleary and Moses just watch last years grand final.

Though to your point - Cleary did a lot more of that himself I’d say. Moses played well, and had a good run, but NSW as a team were killing it

I don't love it, but it beats Laurie

He is a current NRL assistant still though so it would be a weird appointment unless they made him fulltime, and they wouldn't do that with Maguire.

In saying that he does love pathways and junior stuff so I'm sure he'd put the effort into fulltime.

It was an incredible Queensland side. They handled better coaches than Laurie. But he always looked like a deer in the headlights and seemed a bit clueless.

Meh. Not many options out there. When they don’t wanna pick a full time nrl coach.

Daley already looks out of his depth giving betting odds on Fox. Unless Bellamy does the actual coaching, it's another disaster waiting to happen.
