From the CEO update. No surprise on the other four, but nice to see this name among the potential NSW reps .

Emma Tonegato, Tiana Penitani, Talei Holmes, Ellie Johnson and Quincy Dodd will train in the NSW squad during the inactive period leading into the Women's State of Origin Series.

Heaps of NRLW players running around in the Qld comp on the weekend.

Only Sharks ones I am aware of were Maddie Studdon and Holli Wheeler playing for Sunny Coast. Lots of other girls from all over the comp though. Several Knights players including Upton are running around for CQ Capras.

I did see an article with who I thought was Maddie Studdon in a bulldogs jersey
TBH, I thought she must have moved to doggies as she didn’t get a game last season for memory

She played one game. Was great with the ball but is a turnstile.

Has possibly left the Sharks. A lot of players have gone to Qld because the season starts and finishes before NRLW season, whereas the NSW comp is running as a reggies comp in parallel with NRLW this year so they can send players up and down (and players not in the 17 can get a game).

Having reggies is great, but it means if you are in NSW you don't get a game against good opposition until July (unless you are in u19's).

Two new teams in 2025. Great news for the Women's competition.

So there will be 12 teams by then. I wonder if the NRL would then consider a full season for the girls by having them play each other twice?

This SHOULD be the NRL’s main aim for 2025 and evens up the competition (1 home 1 away game against every team)
