Tele article reckons that the chooks haven't fielded a full strength side since the 2019 grand final. Calling on our stats man @BurgoShark to see how this compares for us.
Haven’t look at the entire team before.

Have looked at Will + Nicho + Toby + BHU for 2022-24 though.

It is 9/55 of games under Fitz with those 4 starting the game and finishing healthy.

Also depends what you consider “full strength” though. There were other games where Hunt started and BHU played 15 minutes off the bench. I wouldn’t count those as having a fully healthy team, but some people would say that counts because BHU played.

Breaking it down more...

6 of those 9 games were the first 6 games of 2022. Sharks were missing Wade for all of those (plus others in some cases)

1 was the 2022 semi vs the Bunnies. No Katoa or Sifa. WK carrying injury,

So now it is 2...

Rounds 4 and 5 2023.
- Round 4 they were full strength but Kaufusi got an early HIA.
- Round 5 no Kaufusi.

Depending on how you feel about Kaufusi being part of the "full strength" lineup, the answer is either 2 or 0 since the start of 2022.

Remember back in the early 2010's when our squad was so bad we didn't want our "full strength" team to take the field

At least these days our Top 20 players or so are of reasonable first grade quality and not total bums

We are actually trying to squeeze all the talent into a 17 man game day squad. Having some players out of action just forces the hand on certain selections.

It's tough not having regulars like BHU or Nikora there no doubt but at this point the team is probably used to weekly line up changes but that's footy and we just have to get on with it and do the best we can with what we have.

I don't think we have too many players with a predisposition towards injury or suspension (maybe Dale but his form is up and down anyway).
Alot of our outs have just been bad luck. Look at what happened in NRL this weekend, so many players copped injuries from impacts.

I guess what I am saying is that it's better to have a good squad that has some players out than a squad of fit plodders and journeymen that is the same every week.

It just points to the new way teams have to build their squads. Particularly for players making lots of tackles (forwards) there are several different causes for missing games that didn't exist 5 years ago. E.g. HIA’s and suspensions for crusher, hip drop, head clash etc.

Having injuries to some guys isn’t an excuse for not being successful, but we also need to acknowledge that when the team loses a genuine starter there is always going to be either a difference in quality or style of the guy replacing him.

I also wouldn’t back any team to the comp when they are only playing 1/3 of their games in an season with their best 1,7,8 and 10.

“Morrison’s gone. He did it at the ground. They made an announcement saying he’s stepping down as No. 1 ticket holder. And there was a very, what you would call anticlimactic response to that announcement,” he said.

“It was just a hubbub with a bit of ‘oh really, oh well’. We won’t miss him whipping his scarf around his head like no-one ever does in rugby league, you know what I mean.

“He did it well. He pretended very well that he was a rugby league guy. I bought it. I think he did the same thing with being a Prime Minister. I think he did a great job of convincing everyone of that as well. I don’t know which one he did better.”

Both a bit annoying 😀

Not an NRL fan? Not even a Sharks fan.

I'm apolitical, don't give 2 shits about which side he's on.

But he only used the club to show he was a part of the community.

Who was our D coach with Morris, I forget, was it Sandercock? If so I wonder where he is now and how their D is.
Not that the head coach can't have input but a non-zero amount of what is implemented comes from the D coach, otherwise you may as well credit Benji for their D now.
Just been sacked as Bulldogs womens coach

Just sack him for being a complete moron at this point. I mean, brain dead isnt a strong enough description.
Not the brightest family it appears

Very athletic, I’ll give them that

Not as willing to take pay cuts to play together as they publicly say either

We’ve been fined $5000 for Holdsworth running near Fogarty couple weeks back

Same as panthers fined for their trainer running across goal face inside field of play.

Damn, that's more than we paid Daniel to play for us

Fogarty didn't even seem bothered by it or noticed him, didn't seem to blame any distractions after missing it but yea I get it isn't the point

Oh well, Holdsworth got some dishes to clean and lawns to mow for a while...
