Happy to see our line defence holding out. Brailey and Nicho don't slip and that try is fine.

If we keep completing well they will run out of juice in another 20. Score first and we should run away with it.

gotcha

disruptor; new thing to just make areas even greyer!!!
you have to admit Jesse was not looking up for the ball tho
His jump timing was fine, looked to ball and got hands under it. Can’t expect a player to sprint 30m staring straight up or he’ll get demolished by a blocker (legal or otherwise).

He has as legit a grab at that as Wighton, with every intention to catch it and score.

Okay okay the refereeing is ****. I will admit that. I still don’t think it’s corrupt and that they’re trying to help South saw make things better I just think they’re hopeless. The disruptor rule is one of the most ridiculous rules ever invented. Yes, Jesse Ramien was looking at Wighton for a second, but then he contested for the ball. I cannot understand how Adam Gee did not see that.

Anyway, despite all that we still need to rise above it and play to our strengths. The Rabbitohs are decimated on the bench. Surely at some point they are going to tire. We just have to keep playing football. Forget about the idiots refereeing the game let’s just get on with it.

Ronaldo is clearly above anyone else on the field. He has been immense. Two tries heaps of involvement in the one he set up for Wilton is just amazing. Two great runs from Sifa shows he still has a job to do off the bench. Iro has been excellent. Why we are also worried about his defensive issues I don’t know, he has tackled his heart out.

I do expect us to win this game, but for us to do it we need to ignore all the decisions that go against us.

The Ramien one was definitely a disrupter, ramien loves to take the player not the ball.

That said, it's the worst rule. What is the purpose of it? If you're not good enough to catch it bad luck. Should be play on so long as you're not making contact with the defender.

Ha ha. Hooper talking up Souths at half time, saying if they win, this will be one of the most courageous wins of the century.

The guy is a Deadset idiot.

Not at first, but i'd say it was ok, because he positioned himself and eventually looked at where the ball was and tried to catch it while in the air, plus didnt make contact.

Dont like the rule, should be allowed to flap your arms like a chicken and put off the opposition, aslong as you dont make contact 😄

Exactly this. You don’t run looking at the sky do you

Edit. Until you obviously need to

Looking at a player disrupts their concentration when they're trying to catch the ball.

I get it now.

No staring.

The rules the rule, you're not allowed to jump and try and disrupt the defender, regardless of whether you touch it. Ramien has been amazing at this over the years putting pressure on catchers.

**** rule.

So, do they penalise a player for a cheeky (non racial) sledge?

”Sir, he disrupted my concentration by blowing me a kiss”…..

Ref blows a penalty.

Turn it up….

Do we assume refs must practice stuff like catching attacking bombs in training to know exactly where best form dictates you look at all times?

If the ref and bunker ref haven’t practiced that same run as Ramien how do they know how it works right down to every second of his intention?

Of course he is going to look at Wighton. As @bort said, you can’t sprint just looking up.
