Have done the first half of the fancy stats.

A few interesting takeaways.

- Zero handling errors. Just the Kennedy thing and the Nicho kick that went way dead to give up a 7 tackle set
- Lots of set restarts and penalties though. The Wilton and disrupter ones were pretty soft so hard to blame either player on those
- Other than for kicks, or to dive on a loose ball or pass from dummy half, Trindall touched the ball just once.
- just two middle forward runs in the attacking 25
- not a single good ball set other than the one where they scored on tackle 0 from the scrum
- zero long shifts. A few 2-3 pass shifts to edges around midfield
- Ronnie wasn’t just a beast on the tries. Some of his yardage carries, tackles and kick defusals were outstanding
- Souths were very good

Basically the entire first half was an arm wrestle where both teams were completing at a high rate and put their kicks in the right places. The Sharks effectively spent almost the entire 40 minutes either defending or running yardage sets. 16-6 at half time after that type of 40 minutes was a great result.
Where did the points for Souths come from do you think? Souths battled well under the circumstances, but not so well that we'd give up that many I would have thought

I wonder if this was a tactic by the Sharks to try and stem our 'slow' starts. Just play no nonsense, low percentage football and get into the arm wrestle.

Half of which hasn't been performing for them anyway, their problem for paying them so much. We had players out too but doesn't sound as impressive $$$ wise

McInnes robbed
True. (On both counts, I was just stirring re Nicho)

They (Souths) currently have more issues than just injuries that’s for sure.

They didn’t create much. They were just patient and a few Sharks players made individual defensive errors. Final try was good play from them.
