Isn’t there a point where too many repeat offences becomes an actual suspension?
I think what they call ‘third and subsequent ‘ leads to a suspension.

He was fined only last week plus surely these 2 will lead to a rest for him ..

No it depends on the charge.

You can have as many grade 1 careless high tackles as you want and early plea will stay a fine. Same goes for dangerous contact and contrary conducts.
Other charges can be a suspension for grade 1 but not always on first or second offence.
All grade 2 or above charges are suspensions.

1800 for dangerous contact last week is second offence so this will be two ‘third & subsequent’ offence charges. But will depend what the charge is.

If the elbow is striking it should be 3 matches
If it’s dangerous contact it should be $3000
Both assuming grade 1, so won’t be the first one I don’t think.

Grade 1 dangerous throw should be 2 matches.

So he should get $3000 fine, and 2 matches.
And that’s being about as generous as I can be without not charging him.

(My understanding / interpretation of the possible charges)

Thanks for that - if that’s not striking - I don’t know what is ..

Still trying to work out why some of you guys follow the game if you think it’s corrupt.
Just venting @Sir Chadley

Don’t take it to heart.

But surely you have to admit that currently there is a lack of:

Logic
Common Sense and
most importantly, Consistency

There are to many different “interpretations” of the rules.

I don’t really blame the on field refs (much) as their job is hard on the run and that’s why we have the bunker which is meant to help.
They have technology worth millions, and the MRC has the benefit of hindsight but both get things horribly wrong to often.

About the only thing that is consistent is the lack of consistency and it SHOULD BE an easy fix but it keeps occurring

I think it should be but I suspect they won’t charge that way. Not sure what definitions they use to select charges but a punch is the obvious ‘common’ form of striking.

But not sure how he wiggles out of the lifting one, just because he didn’t ground the guy dangerous the action is still illegal.

Yep - key indicators are gripping between the legs - and putting the player in a dangerous position beyond the horizontal ..
