slightly off topic - I run daily at the park across from concord oval and the tigers have been training there daily. I can tell you now Benji has changed the training strategy. Last year they spent most of their sessions playing touch footy and for the past fortnight they have been doing sprints, 400m, 2k time trials. This morning, they felt the heat and poor Jayden Sullivan (who is alot bigger than I thought) was a distant last - struggling behind the pack lol

They look a whole lot fitter this year.

My Dad's a medic and was at a Bulldogs u19s training sessions on Saturday.

Started at 5.30am and they got smashed. Plenty of vomit buckets involved.

Saw the replay of the Matt Lodge fight.

He can bang.

I hope Gal doesn't come back.

Gal is 14 years younger I think it's safe to say he won't be taking that fight (unless someone puts big money up)

Lodge went alright though? Could be banging down some doors as a ranked fighter or what?

Can't be safe. I agree with being fit however they were getting thrashed and it was over 32c. My understanding the clubs and NRL have a duty of care to stop outdoor sessions once it reaches 32c.

I think 32 degrees is probably fine but it depends on the session. For example, ball work should be fine. Remember, it's likely they'll be playing in those kind of temperatures in the first few rounds. They have to be conditioned for it.

It wasn't 32 degrees at 5.30 am (which I assume is why they did it then).

How many of them did he call out for looking 'worse for wear'?
