Dans article Zero Tackle on Top10 Super league players that could make it in the NRL
Anyone we could use ?

FMD Zero Tackle has turned into a a clickbait and pop-up abomination. It’s unusable. I’m surprised the article doesn’t say “you’ll never guess who #2 is” or “#3 will shock you”.

For anyone who doesn’t want to spend 10 minutes looking at ads, Dan and Terry popping up, here’s his list.

1. Makinson (won’t come to NRL)
2. Harry Smith (Wigan halfback) - 23
3. Tom Johnstone (Catalans winger) - 28
4. Tom Amone (Leigh prop) - 26
5. Jack Welsby (St Helen: 5/8) - 22
6. Cameron Smith (Leeds 2nd rower) - 24
7. Joe Cator (Hull FC back rower) - 25
8. Mike McMeeken (Catalans 2nd rower) - 29
9. Marty Lees (St Helen’s prop) - 25
10. Jarrod O’Connor (Leeds hooker) - not coming.

I can’t comment on how good any of these guys are, other than to say that if Welsby wanted to come their would be a bidding war, and the Sharks probably don’t have much use for a 28yo winger or need any extra back rowers.

You don't think we could use another second rower? I think we definitely need one, maybe not starting NRL quality though.

Cheers for this. As soon as I had to click through to each new one I abandoned the list. ZT is just an Nrl themed advertising site these days.

Depth yes, but blokes who are established and well paid in the ESL aren’t coming down to play for the Jets.

I actually don't think back row depth is too much of an issue. Any of Williams, Colquhoun or Talakai could all potentially cover the spot if one of the starters goes down. Finau is a potential option down the track.

... and then we have this guy who you probably like the look of.

I don't like the idea of Williams or Cocoon playing there for more than intra game time, they're not really proper alternatives for mine if Nikora or Teig go down for a few games.

I think Sifa is our only real alternative atm.

I think Calqhoun could do it with some work. Everytime he’s filled in there I think he’s shown he can do it. With how limited our cap is at the moment and we have a bit of a surplus of middles, maybe building on Calqhoun’s skills on the edge are a good alternative. Maybe.

I don't love the idea of any of those three playing 80 in the back row, but I'd be happy for them to split the duties if necessary.

One more year of building for Jesse. He should be pushing someone else out by round 1 2025.

Can definitely see Welsby in a Rooster's strip in 2-3 years.
