Classic Cronulla.

Playing the **** teams (and in this case, **** players) in to form.

Luai killed us in the first half.

Not saying Cleary is ****.
But he FLOGGED us tonight.

Showed up the reigning Dally M player of the year that’s for sure.

Not a typical good night but we showed something in defence, something we don’t often see enough of.

Injuries are going to test us further.

We can’t take a trick with the referee or bounce of the ball of late.

Our handling was still poor and put us under pressure.

Panthers possession and field position this could of been really ugly

Well, that went well...
Much better defensive effort, but that's about it. At least they showed some heart with a revamped lineup. Lost their hands & brains on the way though.
I know we played Penrith, but our lack of go-forward is just disheartening. BHU & Hazelton added a bit of spark. That's about it.

McInnis is a legend. Was on a mission to tighten the middle all by himself.

@Tatus is breathing a huge sigh of relief. Dodged a bullet tonight.

Hynes is in trouble IMO. His head is all over the place, his confidence non existent. I’m not sure what the answer is, but they need to find a way to take some pressure off him so he can just play and enjoy it again. He’s playing like a guy with a great weight on his shoulders.

He can’t be dropped of course, but keeping Wade in the side is a good idea. An older head. And Trindall needs to get the ball more. If Moylan can handle fullback, I’d be doing that too.

Thurston would struggle playing behind our pack.
If Thurston was behind a pack that struggled to make yards he’d be smart enough to use the whole tackle count and good enough to kick the ball further than 30 metres

And he did for a fair while in NQ. We aren't just short a prop. We need at least 2 or 3 willing to put in an effort.
Hunt, Kaufusi and Fraudolf just aren't good enough at the moment.

As I said in a previous post you can’t fault our effort and attitude tonight. We turned up against a **** hot side, lost Will early and had some calls go against us.

What really annoys me is the amount of times we get pushed back in tackles. Even when we run hard, the initial hit by the tackler stops us and they push us back. We do too much arm grabbing and opposition players seem to easily evade us and bust tackles.

We are such a long way away from being one of the best teams in the comp and I’m pretty much resigned now to not making the 8.

100%

Thurston wouldn’t be doing mid field grubbers on the 4th.
Chips over the top on the 3rd.

Love the guy.
But man. Hynes can’t throw it down.

6 agains and handling errors to start the games are happening every week, games have been over after 15 minutes, the discipline early is pathetic.
