no it didn't , it doesn't work like that. If that try is awarded to us there is no way possible for anyone to know how the game plays out from there.

We prob don't have that freak 3 mins of scoring trys and don't get as close on the scoreboard. Manly might have scored again, no one might have scored again we don't know.

It did look backwards out of the hands though although only saw a couple not ideal angles. Gotta love it when they say touchie was right there in line. Doesn't mean the touchie didn't misjudge it
Yeah I get that mate, just sayin

I told you blokes that the come back was on but none of you had the insight to see that it was possible. If the ball had bounced our way we would have won and everything would have turned out David Peachey

Man that first half was the worst I’ve seen from us in a long time.. between the 7 penalties, left edge being brand new, 2 disallowed tries which should’ve been given and that last will Kennedy play we should’ve won that, I don’t usually focus on officiating but we got stiffed hard especially in the first half.

The left edge looked very nervous in attack and defence in the beginning was good to see them loosen up towards the end.

Don’t really think Tracey deserves his spot over Sifa - JC at 12 not so sure either

Trindall and Hynes partnership needs work, it’s hard to come in this late in the season and get it going straight away but our last tackle plays and kicking game was much better, need to give it some time

I thought i heard commentator mention in a game a couple of weeks ago that the touchie is only there to adjudicate on the sideline and not for forward passes in the 20mtr zones , this was after what seemed a forward pass had been missed , seemed odd to me , but believable of NRL officiating if true . Perhaps someone could clarify .

JC went alright on the edge, be even better in the middle. If Sifa is fit, put him back on the left edge at back row

It's a big ask to expect everything to gel perfectly straight off , both with the left sided defence and the NH and BT halves pairing , seemed to me that they kept it simple for the first game together and didn't play on the same side too much , you would expect improvement with more games played .
I think JC done great , i think he played the whole game so a big effort for a first time playing 1st grade in that position and will surely improve with more game time .
I love that Tracey tries his heart out and for a limited player plays above himself just unfortunately for me he is a shadow of Sifa , for all Sifa's failings he brings more to the team and game than Tracey and if it's a simple choice between the 2 for me it's Sifa every time , if he's not the permanent solution for left centre then we need to get someone in .
The reffing was abysmal , and not just against us ,

**** that, would have been an epic win if Will passed it to the left draws it up, maybe Nicho kicks the goal to take us in front. As a Sharks fan how could you not want such an incredible win, biggest come back of all time.

Might have just stirred something in the players and fans for the rest of the season instead players will be deflated from getting so close AND still feeling like **** for losing anyway.

Doesn't matter who deserved what, sometimes you just gotta enjoy the moment and take a win, particularly what would have been the most famous ever. Did Manly deserve to lose because they had a bad second half?

besides all that , The 2 points would have been useful

It was good to be pumped and excited again as a Sharks fan for those 25 mins or so in the second half after 18 months feeling like going around in circles treading the same patch of hill up and down. Boys playing with free abandon in second half and due to that seemingly more confidence, desire and energy.

Either that or Fitz threatened to drop them all or wrestle them to death ha ha
All true mate. I'm just being realistic. I'd have loved a win for sure.

my two bobs worth, we were massively intimidated by the size strength and go forward of manly in the first half, we have wingers and other light weights taking the ball up, and at times had no props on the field. admittedly manly got the bounce of the ball a few times, but they earned that rite. we came back in the second half, when manly took their foot off the throttle. then our come back started, ironcally when big royce was introduced,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,we need big aggressive forwards................not small ones

We have to learn how to turn things back in our favour when the ball bounces the wrong way.

Granted, Manly had one of the luckiest days bounce-wise in their history.

Manly might have got the bounce of the ball but part of the reason we got back in it was that they were down on troops that 2nd half .
Really hate losing to them , especially when i know we are lengths better .
