What did he say?
He said there are only a few things that could stop them from continuing to build on this season

- If their attitude drops
- Injuries
- Bounce of the ball; and
- Referee calls

I just listened to his speech, he'd had a pretty impressive speech up until he had ago at the referees & the decisions haha. Imo that ruined his speech as I'm pretty sure a lot of people would think the same. It wasn't just his team who got a few tough calls, every team in the NRL did this season.

Pretty piss poor speech in my opinion TBH.
To long, to self centred and a big sook at the end.
Should be sanctioned by the NRL for his comments at the refs.
All teams were on the wrong end of bad referee decisions (we copped some against his team wk 1 of finals).

Got a good chuckle from the room. Good on him he spoke with passion. Better than the cliché responses.

Tosser.

On another note, I wish they'd do it like the Brownlow and show points for every game, every round.
Spent that LONG crapping on in his speech that they had to cut back on the rest of the awards and the build up the winner.
That guy wouldn't know how to smile .
I reckon like early days Ricky , will burn out his players within 2 years

All anyone cares about is the Dally M winner, then probably the team of the year.

Yet they fill the coverage with all this other crap till they get to the point.

A bit rich when your team is gifted 2 points in a game that you lost.

Of all the teams to still be dragging up ref calls

I haven't seen it but sounds like he lost a lot of fans with this speach
I thought the rest of the speech was fine, just long. However, the dig at the end was unnecessary. It had JT 'NRL conspiracy' vibes to it. After the tigers game, when a decision literally changed the game outcomes, he said "sometimes you just get those calls". But after a forward pass in the opening half of a final gets missed, it's the refs fault we are out.

Sounds like 2023 will start on March 2, go 27 rounds and each team will have 3 byes.

Salary cap still unknown :ROFLMAO:
